A photograph of a procession on a dirt path at an outdoor festival. Several colourful parasols with fringed tassels, one with the word Dhyanapeetam printed on its valance, shade the procession. Beneath them, saffron-robed sannyasis walk in front, some holding long ceremonial staffs, one wearing beaded necklaces and rudraksha malas. Behind them, people in white dhotis and white clothes, some with orange shawls, follow along the path. Green shrubs and a tree line the route, and orange and red flags flutter in the distance under a clear sky.

A festive procession moves along a dirt path past a blue-tarp tent and scaffolding. A central man in a maroon-brown dhoti wears a heavy gold necklace, a red flower garland, a rudraksha mala, and a tall black crown-like headdress, carrying a bouquet of flowers. Behind him, devotees in white dhotis and orange garments carry large red, yellow and blue umbrellas bearing the text 'Nithyananda Peetam'. Women in orange and white saris carry a brass kalasha pot, and onlookers in white clothes stand with folded hands along the side. The attendants have sandalwood tilaks and rudraksha malas.

A religious procession moves along a dirt path past a concrete wall and green gate. Several red, blue and yellow ceremonial parasols with tassels are carried on long poles, and two trident-topped staffs stand among them. A man in orange robes walks at the center wearing a garland of marigolds, with a shaved-headed attendant in orange beside him. A woman in a white sari with an orange border carries a silver tray of flowers. Men in white kurta-dhotis with yellow shawls hold the umbrellas, and some wear rudraksha malas. Banana leaves are visible above.

Outdoor procession on a dirt road with palm and banana trees behind. A central figure in saffron-orange robes wears an orange turban, a white flower garland and a long purple-and-white garland, with long dark hair and bare shoulders; the appearance cues are a turban and garlands but the figure is not clearly distinctive enough for a firm identification. Around him, men in white dhotis with orange shawls and rudraksha malas carry a long-handled trident, and two large ornate umbrellas with blue, red and multicolour fringes shade the group. A tall ceremonial trident with silver tines is held aloft. Devotees in white and orange walk along behind and beside the procession.

A festival procession on a dirt path during the 2008 Brahmotsava. A man in saffron-orange robes, with a rudraksha mala around his neck and bangles on his wrist, holds a tall golden trident (trishul) upright. Behind him, an umbrella with a red, green and blue canopy printed with the word Dhyanapeetam and a white dove motif is held aloft by attendants. Other people wear orange robes and white dhotis with yellow or orange shawls, and a woman in orange stands at right. Trees and a bright sky frame the scene.

Outdoor procession on dirt ground under trees with a clear blue sky. Two large ceremonial umbrellas with multicolored panels and fringed tassels, one reading DHYANAPEETAM, lead the group. Men in white dhotis and shirts, some with bare upper bodies or white shawls, walk alongside, and a man in a red shirt plays a drum. Several people in saffron and orange robes walk in the center; a saffron-clad figure with a long white garland holds a brass tray with flowers, and a white feathered fan or chamara is raised nearby. Women in white saris with orange and gold borders and garlands follow. Many devotees line the path behind.

Outdoor procession on a dirt road at dusk under a multicoloured canopy with tassels and blue dove emblems, bearing the printed word DhyanaPeetam. A central man wears an orange robe, a long white flower garland with red beads, a gold necklace, and a gold headband, and walks between a golden staff and a trident-like ceremonial staff. Around him, followers in white dhotis and orange shawls, some with rudraksha-style beads, carry peacock-feather fans and staves. Tents and a speaker box stand at the roadside.

A procession walks along a paved road lined with trees under bright daylight. At the centre, a figure in saffron robes and an orange head wrap walks with palms pressed together in namaste, wearing a long garland of white flowers with red blossoms. Around him, men in white dhotis and white shirts or saffron shawls walk barefoot. Several attendants carry tall ornate umbrellas in red, orange and green with the printed word Dhyanapeetam and dove emblems, while others hold golden staffs and a trident-topped pole. Along the path, people in white dhotis and saffron or yellow shawls carry tall gold-tipped staffs, pennants and tasselled umbrellas. Red, orange and blue banners hang overhead in the background, and trees and a street lamp line the route. A man on the right in white holds a camera. Several people are visible, forming a moderate line.

A procession outdoors under a canopy of tent-like shelters, with tall decorated umbrellas bearing the word DhyanaPeetam in red, blue, green and gold with dove and lotus emblems and fringed tassels. Front and centre, a man with a shaved head and white tilak wears an orange-saffron robe with a rudraksha mala and walks beside a second man in orange robes with long swept-back dark hair, a white tilak and a wooden rudraksha mala, who smiles while walking. Behind them, young attendants in white dhotis and shirts carry gold ceremonial fans and flanked the procession, while a figure in orange carries a basket of offerings on a tray at the right. Several white-clad attendants and a few onlookers are visible in the background.
