A photograph inside a temple shrine. A figure seen from behind, with long dark hair, raises a silver aarti lamp with multiple flames in one hand; the wrist wears a rudraksha mala and a white cloth is draped over the shoulder. Ahead stands a wooden double door flanked by two painted guardian dvarapala figures in red and green dhoti and sash with raised arms. Brass oil lamps stand on both sides, and orange-robed devotees sit on the right, while a seated figure in orange sits at lower left. The figure raising the lamp shows no clear a person cues, so the identity remains uncertain; this is an aarti being performed in front of a temple door.2014-04-22A bare-backed priest seen from behind holds a silver multi-wick aarti lamp with three lit flames in his right hand during ritual worship. He wears an orange-saffron shawl draped over his left shoulder and a rudraksha mala around his neck, with white sacred ash markings on his back and shoulders. He has short, dark, wavy hair. Before him stand two large painted deity murtis flanking a golden door, both with multiple arms and orange-red lower garments with green sashes. The scene suggests an aarti offering in a temple shrine.2017-08-04August 02 20172017-08-02 +1 copiesA close-up photograph of a hand holding a silver oil lamp (deepam) with a lit flame, its ornate scrolled stand adorned with a small stone, a gold bangle on the wrist.
