July 29 20122012-07-29Evening scene in a dim open pavilion with a dark wooden ceiling and a ceiling fan. On the left, a figure in orange and gold clothing with an elaborate gold crown and jewelry sits on a golden throne, seemingly a life-size statue or doll rather than a live person. In the centre-right, a seated man in orange robes chants at a small altar with a deity murti, lit oil lamps, flowers and a gold cloth backdrop, with a bright studio light nearby. Around a dozen seated audience members in the foreground face the altar, some wearing orange and red scarves. A wall of small stones forms the backdrop.2012-07-29Night-time ritual in a dimly lit hall with a wall of small stones and a gold cloth hanging behind an altar. A long-haired figure in an orange and gold garment, with gold necklaces and palms pressed together, sits on a gilded chair at the left. Before a low altar draped in orange cloth, a shaved-headed priest in orange robes tends a fire, with brass lamps, a kalasha-style vessel and small deity murtis nearby. A man in white stands at the right, and several seated devotees appear in the foreground. The scene suggests a homa or abhishekam ritual.2012-07-29June 09 20092009-06-09July 21 20122012-07-21July 21 20122012-07-21July 29 20122012-07-29A dimly lit ritual scene at night. A figure seated in a gold-framed chair with a white and gold cloth draped over the back, palms pressed together in namaste, wears an orange-gold garment and gold necklace, with long dark hair. In front, a low table draped in orange cloth holds brass vessels, small silver deity murtis, a flower arrangement and a lit oil lamp. Two shaven-headed men in saffron-orange robes sit on the right, one seated at the table with ritual items and the other beside him. A wall of stone-textured panels frames a gold and orange cloth backdrop with a decorative gold arch. Two people sit in the foreground on the left, partially visible, and a shrine table with a small flame sits in the background.2012-07-29November 04 20132013-11-04July 21 20122012-07-21 +1 copiesMarch 28 20132013-03-28June 09 20092009-06-09
