Several saffron-robed sannyasis walk in the foreground, including a shaved-headed monk on the right in orange dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala and a bald monk in the centre-left wearing orange with a rudraksha mala. Surrounding them are men in white shirts and dhotis, a man in a khaki shirt, women in saris, and onlookers standing along the red-and-white painted barrier and behind the pillars. No distinctive crown, long hair or ceremonial gold cues establish any particular individual, so the monks are described by role only. Visible people are counted in the scene; the exact crowd size is not established.2012-05-31December 29 20102010-12-29Large outdoor crowd gathered in a temple courtyard beneath a long pink-and-cream colonnade of pillars, with palm trees and a gateway tower behind. A man in the centre wears an orange-saffron shawl and an orange turban-style cloth, with rudraksha malas around his neck, and presses his palms together in namaste. Around him, many men wear white dhotis and white shirts with rudraksha malas, and some wear red or saffron cloths. One person in the foreground wears a grey cap printed with text. Ornate carved pillars and a gopuram-style structure appear in the background, with a loudspeaker mounted on a pillar at upper left. This appears to be a procession or devotional visit at a temple, with devotees gathering around the central figure in saffron.2007-01-12July 13 20092009-07-13August 01 2009 - Kalpataru, Thiruvanaikaval, India2009-08-01May 24 20122012-05-24August 11 20092009-08-11December 29 20102010-12-29A photograph of a crowded temple corridor with stone pillars and a golden kalasha-topped structure visible in the background.
