A thin string or thread runs diagonally from the top of the stone toward the upper left. The background is softly blurred in red, orange and cream tones. No people are visible.2011-09-19A dark stone lingam rises from a shallow black yoni-pitha basin, its surface glistening with water poured over it in abhishekam. Above, a priest in a white dhoti with an orange-and-gold border stands partly visible, wearing a gold-bead mala around his neck and holding a thin stream of water or milk over the lingam. Stone pillars and warm light fill the background of a temple interior. A purple bird logo sits in the upper left, and a copyright notice appears at lower right.2011-09-19A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a dark stone Shivalinga. A priest's bare arm, wearing a gold bangle and beaded bracelet, pours water or milk from a silver vessel over the lingam, and droplets spray upward. Behind it, a white-clad figure stands near a gilded pillar and a gold-draped structure. At right, the golden feet and lower legs of a large gilded deity murti rest on a lotus base, with a red-and-gold cloth draped over it. Warm light falls on a red curtain and a wooden table in the background.2011-09-19Close-up photograph of a dark black Shivalingam being bathed with water poured from a gold abhishekam vessel shaped with a spout ending in a small gold cow-head. A hand holding the gold vessel is visible at the upper right, with a thin stream of water falling onto the lingam's top, where a red mark is visible. The background is heavily blurred with warm brown and pale tones and the faint outline of other people, and a white-clad figure appears at the right edge.2017-02-24A dark, rough-textured black stone shivalinga is being bathed with a stream of water poured from above, water splashing around its base. Behind it, red silk drapes and a white cloth with gold borders are visible, and the blurred arm of a person pouring from a vessel appears at the upper left. The scene suggests an abhishekam ritual at a Shiva temple, with no legible printed names or a person figure visible.2016-03-07A dark stone Shivalinga is being bathed with water poured from a golden vessel held by a person in white clothing at the right edge of the frame. A stream of water falls onto the top of the lingam, where a clear droplet rests. Several more black lingams and metal bowls are blurred in the background under warm sunlight. No person is clearly identifiable in the frame apart from the hand and white cloth of the pourer.2017-02-26
