January 01 20122012-01-01A man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban stands at left, wearing a long multicolored flower garland, and holds a metal ritual vessel from which flames rise. Beside him on a decorated altar are two metal deity murtis, one seated with a raised hand, and a large yellow marigold garland draped over offerings. Brass and silver puja vessels, bowls of flowers and fruit sit on a cloth in front, under a canopy with purple and white decorations. The scene suggests a fire ritual or aarti at an outdoor puja tent.2010 - Photo AlbumDecember 18 20112011-12-18Photo 11682769 +1 copies2010 - Photo Album +1 copiesOctober 26 20112011-10-26 +1 copiesDecember 20 20112011-12-20A photograph of two people seated at a ceremonial setting with colourful cloth hangings behind them. On the left, a person with long dark hair wears a white garment, a gold necklace and a rudraksha mala, and holds a thin brush or stick, applying something to a small white cloth or figure. On the right, a bearded man in an orange saffron robe leans forward, holding a gold-coloured ornate frame or arch-shaped object above a wooden table. Gold ornaments and a fringed orange and white drape are visible.2005-05-25November 12 20102010-11-12A four-panel collage of the same scene at dusk outdoors. In each panel a person with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron garment with a rudraksha-style necklace and bangles, holds a lit flame or oil lamp and performs an aarti before a decorated deity murti. The murti sits in a gilded arched shrine framed with garlands of yellow and orange marigolds and red flowers, and a blue-and-gold drapery is visible. Smoke drifts in the air and a building stands in the background.2011-11-29 +1 copiesJuly 18 20102010-07-18
