On the stage, a deity murti or statue sits on a gold ornate throne with a canopy, flanked by brass oil lamps and a small lantern. Several people in plain white clothes stand on the stage: one raises an arm near the backdrop, another stands beside the throne, and a third stands by a flat-screen television showing a lit image. Rows of seated children and adults in white, yellow, blue and green clothes fill the foreground facing the stage, and a standing fan sits near the stage edge. A framed portrait with a yellow turban is mounted on the left wall beside a caption. Text in the lower right reads the copyright notice.2006-05-01 +1 copiesNovember 04 20062006-11-04Indoor hall with a blue wall and a high corrugated roof on yellow steel trusses, filled with seated children in white and colourful shirts on the floor. On a raised stage, a large sepia portrait of a long-haired figure in ornate robes and rudraksha beads hangs on the left, beside a golden throne with a canopy and a small seated figure. A second portrait with a printed caption hangs on a yellow wall at centre. Three attendants in plain white clothes stand on the stage, one with arms raised near the wall. Speakers and fluorescent lights line the ceiling.2006-05-01August 10 20112011-08-10A stage with dark red velvet curtains hosts two young men in white dhoti and shirt speaking into handheld microphones, one with a shaved head and a tilak on his forehead and a lanyard around his neck, the other facing him. Behind them, on a white-draped stand at the foot of a red-tiered platform, stands a framed portrait of a seated figure in orange robes with a long rudraksha-style garland draped over the frame, a beaded necklace and long dark hair, labelled as a printed portrait rather than a physical person. A floor microphone stand stands in front; a lower-left corner shows a partial head of an audience member.2007-08-26July 27 20082008-07-27
