Many participants wear black or dark blindfolds over their eyes. In the foreground, a man in white with a red shawl sits with head tilted back and eyes closed. Other participants sit in rows behind, some with eyes covered, and a wooden wall panel and white wall form the background.2016-09-30April 14 20122012-04-14A seated group discussion in a hall with a marble floor and patterned carpet. In the foreground, a woman in white dress with gold border, rudraksha mala and a yellow tilak on her forehead speaks while seated. Facing her, a blonde woman in an orange shawl wears a black headband, and a man in a teal kurta holds a printed booklet. Behind them, many seated participants in white clothes and red-orange shawls listen, some wearing black blindfold-style headbands. Visible people number about ten, so the crowd count is 6-20.2016-07-11A large group meditation class in a hall with striped floor mats. In the foreground, several women and girls sit cross-legged wearing black eye masks, many with hands raised in mudra-like gestures. Women in orange saffron robes and white dhotis with gold borders sit among them, some wearing rudraksha malas. A woman in a white sari with gold border stands at the back, and many participants in white and orange clothing fill the background. Papers lie on the mats in the foreground.2017-07-08May 23 20152015-05-23A large seated gathering of devotees in an indoor hall during a deeksha initiation session. Many participants wear red blindfolds over their eyes and sit cross-legged on red and orange mats. Most women wear white or cream saris with gold borders, some in orange, green and teal, and several wear rudraksha malas and small pendants. Some participants are children in white shirts and dark trousers, and one girl wears a white top with black polka dots. Name badges hang from many necks. Hanging framed pictures line the wall behind, and a row of seated people fills the foreground. No clearly identifiable a person is visible in this view.2016-06-19A photograph of a meditation session in a plain hall with pale pink walls and water jugs along the back. Many participants sit cross-legged on orange mats, most wearing white headbands over their eyes and white or light clothing with beads. A man in a long saffron-orange robe with a swept-back long hairstyle and a gold-handled staff stands at the centre, appearing to lead the session. Another person in a red and white checked wrap stands at the right edge. Shelves with folded coloured cloths sit at the left, and a yellow dispenser stands on a table at the right. The appearance-based label for the standing man is Swamiji (probable): he has long swept-back hair, saffron robes and a gold-handled staff, though the features are not clear enough to confirm.2009-12-22December 10 20162016-12-10
