July 07 20122012-07-07A photograph of a padapuja ritual in an indoor hall. A man with a shaved head, wearing a saffron-orange robe, a rudraksha mala and a white vertical tilak, sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions. Several devotees kneel on a patterned rug around a gold lotus-shaped pedestal holding a plate of rice and flowers. A man in cream clothes and a woman in a red salwar with a sari-style wrap wash the feet of the seated figure, and another woman in white and maroon waits beside them. Pink banners, a red curtain, potted flowers and a grape-decorated throne frame the scene.2012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07February 01 20132013-02-01 +1 copiesA seated figure in orange robes with long swept-back hair and a dark rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne (peetha) with red cushions and orange cloth draped on the armrest. Before him, a bald man in white kurta and glasses presses palms together, and a bald man in white with a mala kneels with hands folded near the front. Several devotees in white and yellow sit on the floor with hands folded in namaskar, and silver plates with flowers and fruit lie in front. Behind them stand red and white striped pillars and a carved stone shrine panel. Given the orange robes, long swept-back hair and rudraksha mala, the seated figure is Swamiji (probable), presiding in a satsang or padapuja setting.2010-08-30August 15 20092009-08-15July 14 20122012-07-14
