Photo of a night ritual under a bamboo-and-thatch canopy. A shaved-headed priest in orange robes, with white forehead markings, white arm bands and beaded rudraksha necklaces, holds a lit oil lamp and a small brass vessel. Beside him another man in orange stands near the flame. Behind them a framed portrait of a smiling figure in orange robes, garlanded with red flowers, sits on a draped table with a patterned cloth. Men in white shirts and dhotis stand around the wooden railings and watch.

A priest in saffron-orange robes with a maroon sash, a bare shaved head with a gold headband, and white ceremonial markings on his arms, holds a brass oil lamp and bell during a puja beneath a thatched shelter. Two framed portraits on a draped altar are decorated with red flower garlands: one shows a seated figure in orange clothing with a mala, the other a seated woman in white with long hair. Two devotees with hands folded in namaskar stand at the left and right edges, and a bright lamp glows in the background.

Two sannyasis in orange and red robes stand at a shrine room, facing an ornate wooden throne-like seat draped in a blue and gold cloth. A framed portrait on the throne shows a man in saffron robes with a beaded necklace, one hand raised in blessing, seated in a meditative pose. Garlands of marigolds and a brass oil lamp sit before the seat, with a small offering table of brass vessels and flowers in front. The man on the right, in a red sleeveless top over an orange wrap, holds a lit oil lamp for worship. Brass lamps stand beside the throne, and a white and gold cloth covers a box on the floor. The floor is decorated with a colourful rangoli design.

A devotee in orange robes and a white and red flower garland stands at right, holding a brass oil lamp with a lit flame and a bell-handled base, offering it before a framed portrait of a smiling man in orange robes seated in lotus pose with a rudraksha-style garland, one hand raised in blessing. The portrait is labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" and is garlanded with white flowers and red blooms. Beside it, a painted banyan tree backdrop and a dark black pedestal with a fire flame. Below, a figure in red is seated with flowers, and marigold petals are scattered on the floor.

A photograph inside a thatched ritual tent with white cloth draped behind and bamboo lattice walls. A man with a shaved head in orange-saffron robes stands barefoot at a low altar, hands joined in prayer beside a small fire. In the foreground, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a white forehead mark and a rudraksha mala wears an orange-saffron dhoti with gold borders, holding a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small lamp over the offerings. The altar holds brass plates, bowls, flowers, a small flame and puja items. A cameraman on the right films the scene. Two orange-painted poles frame the altar.

A person in a long flowing orange robe stands inside a thatched palm-leaf shelter, one arm raised toward a framed portrait hung on the wall. The portrait shows a figure in orange robes with rudraksha beads and a garland of white flowers draped over the frame. A metal table below holds brass lamps, a small bowl, scattered red flowers and a packet of snacks, with red and orange powder on the floor. Through the open side, a second man in white is partly visible outdoors. The figure appears to be making a devotional gesture before the portrait. The person in orange has long hair and the portrait figure is dressed similarly.

A young boy seated cross-legged on a white-and-gold cushion wears saffron-orange robes with a pink-edged cloth, a rudraksha mala, and white tripundra marks on his forehead and arms. Behind him a framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" shows a robed figure in saffron with a beaded necklace, one hand raised, seated before a leafy backdrop. Garlands of red and white flowers hang on the left, and a brass bowl with flowers sits in front. Two people in white clothing sit with their backs to the camera in the foreground.

A photograph of a Hindu ritual at night in a plain hall. In the foreground a shaven-headed man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala and white tilak marks on his forehead and arms holds a lit taper toward an unseen flame, his other arm extended. Behind him an older man in white dhoti with a red-bordered cloth and a beaded mala sits and lights a small lamp. A brass plate with flowers and small oil lamps sits on a red cloth in front. Two people are visible, with a partially visible third at the bottom edge. The setting suggests a pada puja ritual.
