Outdoor ritual photograph beneath a large banyan tree with thick hanging aerial roots. A bare-chested man in an orange saffron wrap and orange head turban sits on a low red-cushioned seat, raising a small object in his right hand while a brass tray with an oil lamp and flame sits before him on the earth. Around him, a dense crowd of devotees sits or stands, many men and women in white clothing, some with palms joined in prayer, a girl in an orange-and-white patterned dress and a young girl in white seated at right. Rounded rocks are piled along the right edge, with flower petals scattered on them. Behind, women in white and pastel saris stand with hands folded.

A outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree with aerial roots. In the foreground, a man in an orange saffron wrap with an orange turban and a beaded rudraksha-style mala sits on sandy ground, holding a long stick or wand over a pile of large round stones. Before him sit a brass kalasha-style pot, a brass lamp, a bowl of flower petals and a plate of bananas and fruit. Behind him stand several men in white shirts and dhotis, one with his hands folded in prayer, and women in white saris and a magenta sari. Children watch from the right beside the stone pile. A brass aarti lamp lies at the lower left. The scene appears to be a ritual offering at a sacred stone site under the tree.

Outdoor gathering beneath a large banyan tree with massive hanging aerial roots. A figure with long dark hair wearing an orange saffron robe sits with palms pressed together on an ornate gold-and-brown cushioned seat set on a red mat, facing a seated crowd. Devotees sit on white cloths in white and cream clothes; several women wear white saris with red borders and red bindi marks, and some wear rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. Others stand behind near the tree trunk, many with hands folded in prayer. Clay pots and a small offering dish are visible in the lower right foreground. Children sit among the adults.

Outdoor ritual photograph beneath a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots. A seated figure in orange robes and an orange turban, with long hair and a rudraksha mala, sits on a black-and-white painted platform and offers something from a small dish. Brass pots and a brass kalasha sit nearby with yellow and pink flower petals scattered on the ground. Seated devotees in green, white and orange saris and dhotis face the platform. Standing men in white shirts and a bearded man in white watch from behind, one holding a camera, and a garlanded deity or shrine with pink and red flowers is at the right edge. The setting suggests a pooja or homa in progress.

A standing man in orange saffron robes and an orange turban, with a long rudraksha mala and white markings on his arm, holds a lit oil lamp aarti on a long handle in one hand and a bell in the other. Seated devotees in white and green clothing, some with folded hands, watch from the front and left. A man with a dark beard in white sits on a platform beside a flower-garlanded shrine with orange cloth. Brass pots and a plate of offerings sit on a black-and-white patterned ledge, with yellow and pink flowers in the foreground. Several people stand behind in white clothing with hands folded in namaskar. This appears to be an aarti during a puja.

Seated in the foreground are saffron-robed monastics with shaved heads, several holding long wooden staffs with orange cloth streamers, and small brass vessels and puja items arranged on mats. Behind them, rows of people in white clothing sit on the ground. On the right, a man in orange robes stands near a rock with a multicoloured garland of flowers and a large gold-banded object, while a person with long dark hair wearing an orange shawl sits on a folding chair on a red rug, barefoot. A brass pyramidal ritual object sits on the mat, with a small carved deity murti in the lower left. Strings of white flowers and orange ribbons decorate the tree area.

Outdoor ritual under a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots and sprawling branches. A man in white clothes raises a small brass lamp or bell toward the canopy while a second man in white stands beside him. In the foreground a woman in a white top and a white-clad figure sit before a stone-rimmed platform holding brass lamps, kalasha pots, a trident-like brass stand and offering plates. Behind them a group of seated devotees on mats, including women in green and teal saris, a woman in orange, and several children, watch the ceremony. A rough stone block sits at the base of the tree on the right. Appears to be a puja or aarti performed at a sacred tree shrine.
