Many devotees sit cross-legged with eyes closed, mostly in white kurta-style clothing with red or orange shawls and orange lanyards with ID badges. A foreground man in a white shirt and white trousers, with a red waist cord and a red bangle, sits with hands resting on his knee. Seated beside him, a bald man with a red-orange shawl and a red tilak on his forehead meditates. Behind them, a row of seated devotees in white and red garments continues into the background, along with a few women in red shawls. About twenty devotees sit cross-legged on a dark polished stone platform, several with hands in prayer or resting in meditation mudra. Men wear white shirts and dhotis, women wear white saris and salwar-style outfits, and one woman in a maroon sari with a gold-bordered shawl stands near the back with folded hands. Children in white and a girl in a turquoise outfit sit among the adults. A few men in white shirts stand behind, hands joined in namaskar. Rudraksha-style beaded necklaces are visible on several devotees. Plastic bottles and a small white bag lie on the ground at the right edge.2008-02-23March 31 20132013-03-31A photograph of a seated outdoor meditation group beneath a large banyan tree with spreading aerial roots. A group of roughly two dozen devotees sits on orange and patterned mats; most women wear white, orange, pink or red garments, and several men in white kurta-style clothes sit in front, one with palms pressed together. Many devotees hold their hands in anjali mudra, and a woman in a white top and beaded necklace sits centre-front with hands folded in her lap. A cameraperson with a tripod is visible at the left edge. The scene suggests a meditative gathering rather than a discourse stage.2011-09-01
