August 03 20132013-08-03Three workmen are plastering the base of a pale grey concrete block wall at an outdoor construction site on bare red-brown earth. The man in the centre, wearing a striped shirt and grey trousers, crouches low with a trowel at the wall's base. Another man in a peach shirt and grey trousers walks past, and a man in a white shirt and dark trousers holds a metal tray of mortar at right. A metal pan and sandbags lie on the ground, and a white building with blue doors and yellow flowering shrubs stands in the background.2009-09-07December 19 20092009-12-19October 06 20062006-10-06December 19 20092009-12-19Four men in plain white shirts and dhotis or lungis bend over a freshly levelled dirt floor inside a block-walled enclosure at night, working with their hands and tools to smooth the ground. Warm artificial light falls across the uneven earth, and tall brick walls, some unfinished, surround the site. A pink cloth hangs from the right wall. The scene shows construction groundwork at an ashram building site.2006-10-06May 25 20072007-05-25August 03 20132013-08-03A photograph of two men working on a red-painted wall outdoors. In the foreground a man in a lime green and yellow striped short-sleeved shirt with a red wrist thread applies cement or plaster along the base of the wall with a trowel, while an older man with white hair and a light beige shirt stands beside him watching. Between the bricks at the foot of the wall is fresh grey mortar. Behind them a wooden scaffold pole leans against the wall, and a green lawn, a tree and a red boundary wall are visible in the background. Chalk or pencil marks are scrawled on the red wall surface.2016-09-15Three young men work outdoors on bare red earth beside a pile of rough grey granite blocks. The man on the left, in a white short-sleeved shirt and light grey trousers, crouches barefoot while pressing wet grey material. The man on the right, in a striped shirt and checked lungi-style cloth, shapes a curved wet clay form on a concrete base. A third man in a white shirt crouches behind them. A yellow bucket sits on the ground, with broken red bricks and scattered stones around. No ritual or festival activity is visible, and no recognizable a person figure appears in the scene.2013-06-05Outdoor construction work in a paved courtyard beside a red-painted wall and a low stone wall. Three men work on large flat grey stone slabs. A man in a red-and-white striped shirt and khaki trousers stands at back holding a long stick. In front, a man in a maroon shirt and dark trousers bends over the slabs, while a young man in an orange t-shirt and khaki shorts with a green wristband pushes a long stone slab across the ground. Loose soil and gravel lie between the stones, and green foliage appears at the upper right.2016-09-15September 23 20142014-09-23
