Hands in white and bare arms hold silver cups and a silver vessel, pouring liquid over an offering. An ornate gold and silver tray surrounds the scene, with a bright orange cloth and garlands of yellow, red, pink and purple flowers at the top left. A man in white clothing stands at the left edge, wearing a red thread on his wrist and a gold bangle. The robed figure at upper right is only partly visible, and the central object is most. No clear face of a central figure is visible, so a person identification is not possible from appearance.2010-08-15Close photo of a padapuja-style foot ritual: silver bowls held by several hands pour milk or water over a pair of bare feet resting on a silver tray. Pink flowers and white jasmine-like blossoms lie to the left. A person in an orange garment sits at the upper right, and a dark-haired head is blurred in the foreground. Gold bangles are visible on one wrist. The feet are the focus, and no face of the person being honoured is visible.2010-10-26A close photograph of a padapuja-style ritual with hands from several participants pouring milk and offering items over silver and gilt trays. A hand at centre tilts a silver cup, pouring white liquid onto flowers, green leaves and shredded vegetables on a golden plate. Surrounding silver bowls hold more offerings, and red apples sit on the trays. On the left, a person in orange robes has bare feet resting on the tray edge. Others wear white garments with ash markings on their arms and wrist beads. A few silver bracelets and a rudraksha mala are visible, and the scene is set on an orange cloth.2010-09-08Close overhead view of a puja offering in progress. Several hands, some wearing gold bangles and one with a white sacred-ash mark on the wrist, pour water from silver conch-shaped vessels decorated with red flowers over a brass tray. The tray is crowded with silver bowls of milk-white liquid, yellow and red flower petals, sliced green leaves, fruit, and a folded orange and gold cloth. Small brass oil lamps and a gold-coloured ritual setting fill the centre. Flower garlands in orange and yellow sit at the upper left. Only hands and arms are visible, so no full figures appear. This is a ritual abhishekam-style offering scene.2017-05-24A photograph of a ritual offering scene with a seated figure in a maroon and orange-gold garment on the left, whose lower body and hands are visible while the face is cropped out. Several participants in white and cream clothing and a woman with short light hair in a gold-trimmed top reach toward gold-rimmed silver plates and bowls filled with white flowers, yellow marigolds, red petals and leaves. A gold-patterned throne or seat surrounds the group.2015-03-11
