A photograph of several shaved-headed men in saffron and orange robes seated closely together during a ritual session. Each wears a rudraksha mala and white horizontal tilaka marks on the forehead and upper arms. The man at left holds a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small brass vessel sits near the front. Another seated man in orange robes sits centrally with hands folded. Behind them a standing and seated audience in white and grey clothing is partially visible. No one is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, so the seated monastic participants are described by role only.

Photograph of a seated ritual in a temple hall with devotees in white dhotis and white shawls behind, many holding small oil lamps lit with flames. In the foreground two men in saffron-orange robes with red borders sit cross-legged on orange mats. The man at left, with short hair and rudraksha beads, holds a lit lamp and a small brass bell. The man at right, bald with glasses, wears a heavy gold ceremonial necklace with a pendant and a red tilak, holds a lit lamp and a bell, and reads from an open book. Brass plates with flower petals, a kalasha-style vessel and offerings sit on red cloth before them, indicating a puja.

A seated man in orange ochre robes and a long rudraksha mala sits in a puja setting, holding a small brass bell in his right hand and offering with his left, his head bowed in concentration. Behind him, several men in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas hold lit oil lamps, and one has a white-painted forehead. A man on the right with a bald head, white forehead and arm markings, and a rust-red wrap raises a hand. Brass pots sit on the floor, and spectators sit in the background. No identifiable a person is visible in appearance.

Several people sit on orange mats in a ritual setting. In the foreground, a shaven-headed man in an orange saffron robe with a maroon border and a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged, holding a small brass bell and a brass lamp-like vessel over a tray of offerings. Brass plates with red flowers, a small brass cup and oil lamps lie on the orange cloth. Behind him, people in white dhotis and shawls hold brass lamps and bells, and another man in orange sits at the right edge. A blue plastic container sits at lower left. The scene suggests a puja or aarti being performed.

A seated group ritual in an ashram hall. Two monks in saffron-orange robes with red borders and rudraksha malas sit cross-legged on a mat in the foreground. The man on the left, with a grey beard and glasses, holds a small brass lamp with a lit flame; the younger monk on the right, with a shaved head and white tilak marks, holds a lit oil lamp and a brass vessel. Behind them, men in white dhotis and shawls with red borders hold lit lamps. Brass plates with flowers, fruit, rice and kumkum sit on the mat in front, along with a open book. Tripods and equipment are visible at the top left. This is a puja with oil lamps, and the presence of the lamps and offerings suggests an arati or padapuja-style rite.

Two shaved-headed priests in saffron-orange robes sit cross-legged leading a ritual in a hall. The priest on the left wears a red tilak and rudraksha mala and holds a brass bell in one hand while raising an incense stick with the other. The priest on the right, with white vertical tilak stripes and a red bindi, holds a small brass bell and gestures with an open hand. Rudraksha malas hang on both chests, with gold bangles on their wrists. Behind them, other priests with white forehead marks and seated devotees fill the room, and a few white flower sprigs and rolled papers lie at the front. Smoke from the incense drifts upward in front of a red curtain.
