In the foreground a man in a white dhoti with a yellow-edged cloth and a dark rudraksha mala raises a lit lamp; silver bangles are visible on his wrist. Behind him other devotees hold lamps in offering gestures. No one visible is wearing saffron, crown or ornate ceremonial gold, so no a person candidate is evident. Background is a plain pale wall with blurred figures.2011-02-23A candlelit ritual photograph in a plain room with a pale pink wall and stacked orange-red chairs. In the foreground, several men in white ritual clothing hold up small oil lamps with flames, their arms extended forward. The man at left has a shaved head and a bangle on his wrist, and the man in the centre has long dreadlocked hair, a rudraksha mala around his neck and bracelets, with his eyes closed and mouth open as if chanting. Beside him, a man with a white tripundra on his forehead and another in plain white also hold lamps. On the left, a close-cropped man in white with a red thread holds a lamp and appears to chant. Several men hold lit oil lamps or flames toward brass and steel plates, with orange cloths spread on the floor, small brass vessels and oil lamps set among offerings. Gold bangles and beaded necklaces are visible on some wrists and necks. In the background a draped table with a green and gold cloth bears glasses, a steel jug and a flower vase. The foreground man, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala across his chest and a brass bangle on his wrist, faces left holding one lamp.
