A large dark green stone lingam, decorated with a band of red and white flowers and yellow marigold garlands, stands in the foreground on a plinth with a white tablet inscribed with text. Above it, on a metal-railed steel stair platform, a standing figure in orange robes pours liquid from a vessel onto the lingam, as in abhishekam. A second person in orange robes stands behind on the stairs. Tall grey industrial structures rise in the background under an overcast sky.2010-08-24A large black polished lingam rises from the frame, its base wrapped in silver bands. A priest in white dhoti and shawl stands on a rusted metal scaffold platform, pouring yellow marigold flowers from both hands onto the top of the lingam. Scattered petals fall around it. A second person in an orange-saffron robe stands on the lower steps of the scaffold, partly visible at the left edge. Grey overcast sky and green trees form the background. The scene suggests abhishekam-style floral offering at a Shiva lingam.2010-09-23A photo collage of an outdoor abhishekam ritual at a large black cylindrical lingam on a raised platform, surrounded by seated white-clad devotees. In the main image, a person in saffron/orange robes stands on a metal staircase holding a lit lamp, with a second saffron-robed attendant and a bald saffron-robed priest behind on the stairs. The top of the black lingam is covered with pink and white flower petals. The inset shows a saffron-robed figure with long dark hair pouring liquid over the lingam from above. Concrete stands with red seats fill the foreground.June 17 20132013-06-172010 - Photo Album +1 copiesNovember 21 20102010-11-21June 17 20132013-06-17December 27 20162016-12-27June 24 20132013-06-24June 17 20132013-06-17June 17 20132013-06-17June 17 20132013-06-17
