Close portrait of a bare-chested man seated before an ornate gold-embossed throne with a lion motif and yellow backdrop. He wears a rust-orange silk turban decorated with gold peacock motifs and a central jewelled ornament, a red bindi and white tilak, and a full beard. Heavy gold necklaces, a gold deity pendant, and long gold rudraksha malas hang on his chest, with gold bangles on his wrists. He smiles and raises one hand in a mudra gesture. Long dark hair falls behind his shoulder. Cues consistent with the page's Swamiji reference include the distinctive ornate turban, rudraksha malas and ceremonial gold jewellery, so this is an appearance-based probable identification. Only one physical person is visible.2022-10-02Close portrait of a bearded man, bare-chested, wearing an ornate gold crown studded with red stones and a red tilak on a white forehead mark, heavy gold necklaces and orange-beaded malas, raising one hand in a blessing gesture against a golden throne and yellow background.
