Close portrait of a bare-chested man seated before an ornate gold-embossed throne with a lion motif and yellow backdrop. He wears a rust-orange silk turban decorated with gold peacock motifs and a central jewelled ornament, a red bindi and white tilak, and a full beard. Heavy gold necklaces, a gold deity pendant, and long gold rudraksha malas hang on his chest, with gold bangles on his wrists. He smiles and raises one hand in a mudra gesture. Long dark hair falls behind his shoulder. Cues consistent with the page's Swamiji reference include the distinctive ornate turban, rudraksha malas and ceremonial gold jewellery, so this is an appearance-based probable identification. Only one physical person is visible.2022-10-02August 13 20232023-08-13A bearded man sits on an ornate golden throne framed by gilded carved figures of deities, one playing a musical instrument and another holding a staff.
