December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04A photograph of devotees crowding in a temple hall in front of a large deity murti decorated with yellow and pink flower garlands and a gold-coloured face. In the foreground, a bare-chested man with a long, unkempt hairstyle and white tilak marks on his forehead stands facing away, wearing a red thread around his neck. Nearby, a man in a white shirt and a man in a checked shirt stand among others in white and pink clothing, some with arms raised toward the murti. Carved stone pillars frame the dim interior. The scene suggests darshan or a temple procession.2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04May 05 20152015-05-05 +1 copiesDecember 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04A crowd of men presses closely at the entrance of a house with a covered porch and blue-and-white bunting above. A man in the centre with short grey hair and an orange-red garment over his shoulders is partly turned away, his face mostly hidden by the people around him. A raised arm in a white sleeve appears at upper left, and a few other figures in white shirts, a checked shirt and colourful clothing fill the frame. The appearance of the central man is not clear enough to confirm who he is, so no identity is asserted.2006-12-04January 13 20152015-01-13July 01 20142014-07-01December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04A photograph of a crowded outdoor street scene under a thatched canopy with blue and white bunting.
