A shaved-headed priest in white dhoti with gold necklaces and white tripundra markings sits on the floor before a silver tray of flowers, holding a mala. A woman in white sari with pink border, a microphone before her, and another orange-robed man sit nearby, with heads of seated devotees in the foreground. A small tray with fruit and flowers rests on a side table beside the throne. A large printed portrait behind him shows a smiling man in an orange turban with a red bindi, labelled as a portrait of a sannyasi. Four devotees in white kurtas and a woman in a cream and maroon sari sit on the floor with folded hands, facing the seated figure, while brass and silver offering plates and flower petals lie in front. The seated man is a probable Swamiji by appearance, with long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and gold necklace, presiding as a teacher receiving devotees.2014-04-28September 10 20122012-09-10A photograph of a ceremonial stage at a puja. A seated figure at the centre wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, a gold crown, and long hair, with palms pressed together in namaskar and a garland of red and white flowers draped over the shoulders. He sits on a gold throne with a decorated backrest, against a backdrop of red and gold embroidered drapery. Around him, four attendants in white dhotis and saffron shawls kneel and sit in prayer; one woman in a light teal sari sits among them, and a man in the foreground holds a small object. Brass and silver vessels, a silver kalasha-style pot, fruits including apples and oranges, and a lamp sit on a patterned cloth in front. This is a Swamiji (probable) figure given the crown, saffron clothing and long hair, seated in a puja setting.2007-01-01Indoor satsang scene where a man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron robe with a gold-beaded necklace, sits on an ornate gold-carved throne with red cushions behind a small wooden offering stand. Around him, about a dozen devotees sit on an orange floor covering with palms pressed in prayer; they wear white and cream traditional dress with gold borders, a man in a white shirt sits centre, and a woman in a brown patterned shawl sits with her back to the camera. Brass plates of offerings, fruit and flowers sit before the throne, and a decorated deity murti stands at the upper left behind garlands.2010-12-31A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, hands resting on his knees, during a padapuja gathering. Devotees in white and red saris and white kurtas sit on the floor before him, some with palms pressed together and others holding small brass plates of flowers and offerings. Behind the throne stand gold and red chairs draped with marigold garlands, and a gold-and-red palanquin frame and a wooden podium are at right. A candidate with distinctive saffron robes, a rudraksha mala and a throne is present; appearance-based label: a person, seated in the central role.2010-11-18 +1 copiesJuly 14 20122012-07-14A seated man in an orange saffron robe and a rudraksha mala sits eyes-closed with hands folded on a richly carved gold throne with red cushions, in front of a painted temple backdrop with pillars and a deity image. Around him, devotees in white traditional dress with yellow sashes sit on the floor with palms joined in prayer, some with shaved heads, near brass vessels and lamps on the foreground. The seated figure's appearance and distinctive robe and mala cues are consistent with a person presiding over a satsang, though this is an appearance-based label only. A gold-trimmed side table holds fruit and offerings.2010-10-22 +2 copies
