August 19 20072007-08-19A saffron-robed man walks along a sandy path among large grey stone deity sculptures in an outdoor yard lined with palm and banana trees. He wears an orange cloth wrap over his shoulder and matching orange garment, with white-clad men and a few onlookers nearby. Several seated and standing stone murtis, including a multi-armed figure and a figure holding a trident-like staff, stand on carved pedestals. A bearded man in a white dhoti and a man in a blue shirt stand at the edges. The scene suggests temple sculpture work or a sculpture yard.2010-01-03Making Of Sacred Arts University +1 copiesOutdoor photograph at a stone-carving yard with gravel ground and trees behind. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a forehead marking stands centre, one hand resting on a grey stone elephant sculpture on a plinth, gesturing as he speaks. Beside him a man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands with hands folded, and a bespectacled man in an olive-green shirt and white dhoti watches. A partial figure in white and orange cloth is at the right edge. A white tarpaulin shelter stands at left among other stone pieces. Visible people: about four.2007-08-19Outdoor yard at a stone workshop with a large grey carved stone elephant statue standing on a rectangular plinth, trunk raised, with a textured saddle cloth and a carved necklace. Around it lie many rough stone pots, bowls and cut blocks, with rubble and stone chips on the ground. A tree shades the scene; a multi-storey concrete building and a low wall stand behind. Two small distant figures are visible: one person in a red sari at right and another in white at left, both partly in the background.August 19 20072007-08-19April 24 20192019-04-24Outdoor photo of a stone-carving yard with rows of grey granite deity murtis on pedestals in the foreground, including a seated figure with a tall crown and a seated figure holding a ritual object. Dark polished black lingams with peetha bases sit to the right. Behind them, several men in saffron-orange robes and one in white walk among green trees under an overcast sky, with white pillars and a red-and-white curb in the frame.2011-10-07Outdoors on bare red-brown earth at a construction site, a long-haired man in a flowing orange robe stands barefoot with one arm extended over a long row of pale grey stone slabs or plates laid on the ground. Beside him, a man in orange robes crouches low and handles a stone. Behind them, men in white dhotis and a white-shirted man with a notebook and a grey-haired older man in white with a rudraksha-style necklace look on. A rough thatched shelter with wooden posts stands overhead, with a silver SUV, a green truck and trees in the background.2008-04-06January 05 20102010-01-05December 24 20082008-12-24A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red bindi wears a saffron-orange shawl draped over bare shoulders, seated beside a grey stone Nandi bull statue with a carved ornamental collar. Behind him is a wooden scaffold of bamboo poles and ropes, with palm trees, orange and white cloth hanging on a line, and a stone base under construction. The orange cloth and long hair suggest a person appearance, with the seated person's role as a devotee or sannyasi beside the sacred bull. Another partly visible person stands at the right edge.2006-12-19
