Several men hold small folded white papers and appear to chant or read aloud, one holding a microphone at left. Many wear rudraksha malas and pendants; one has a red tilak. Long and shoulder-length hair is visible on several. A purple and green cloth drapes the steps. No clearly identifiable a person figure is present; the men are devotees reciting in a ritual setting.2017-08-14Four bare-chested men in white dhotis with gold-yellow borders stand in a row, each reading from a sheet of pale paper. They wear rudraksha malas and small pendants, and the man at the far left is partly cut off. Behind them, an outdoor amphitheatre with red tiered steps is filled with rows of people in white and saffron-orange clothing, with flags and lamps along the rails. The scene appears to be a ritual recitation during a festival event.2017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14August 25 20172017-08-25Photograph of a group of men in white dhotis with gold-bordered yellow edges, many bare-chested and wearing rudraksha malas and gold chains, standing in a row and reading from pink-lilac printed sheets while chanting. A woman in a red-and-orange sari sits in the foreground, and a camera operator with a video camera on a tripod stands at right. Behind them, tiered red steps lined with small black lamp stands rise toward an orange-robed figure, and a brass trident-topped ritual object is visible at the right edge.2017-08-14A photograph of a ceremony in a hall with cream walls and framed artwork. Around eight bare-chested men stand in a line wearing white dhoti cloths with gold-yellow borders, several with white ash markings on their torsos and arms. Some hold their hands joined in anjali, and one older man with a white beard holds his palms together at his chest. A wooden pillar stands at right, and a blue mat covers the floor in front. Small figures in the foreground and a partially visible person at right suggest a larger gathering. A wall-mounted speaker and framed paintings are visible above.2017-08-15April 22 20162016-04-22August 20 20172017-08-20A large indoor gathering of devotees stands with palms pressed together in namaskar. In the foreground, a man in a white dhoti with a yellow border wears a long rudraksha mala and a red-orange shawl, and his hands are folded at his chest. Beside him, a younger man in white with a red and yellow shawl and a tilak mark also holds his hands folded. Behind them, many people in white and orange ritual clothing fill the hall, with several children in orange at left. Framed pictures hang on the pale walls behind the crowd.2016-07-19March 02 20172017-03-02 +1 copiesDecember 23 20162016-12-23
