A bare-chested man with short brown hair and eyes closed receives a forehead blessing from a priest standing behind him, whose hand rests on his brow. The man raises his left hand open in a gesture of receptiveness and wears a dark rudraksha mala with a pendant at his neck, and a yellow and red flower garland hangs at his chest. The priest, seen from behind with long dark hair, wears an orange-and-gold shawl and gold earrings, and wears a red and gold bracelet. Warm lights and a red-and-white canopy fill the background, with blurred devotees beyond. A kumkum or vibhuti mark is visible on the man's forehead.

His eyes are lowered and he has an expression of calm. A person's hand wearing gold and red bangles rests on his forehead in a blessing gesture, while in the right foreground a blurred figure with a dark bead-adorned headpiece and gold earring and necklace appears to be a deity murti or the officiant. The background is a warm, softly blurred indoor hall with a hanging orange lamp.

A photograph of a ritual initiation in a temple-style hall. On the left, a fair-haired young man with bare chest wears a white dhoti-style cloth with gold border and a rudraksha mala, hands raised to his head. On the right, a figure with long dark dreadlocked hair, ornate gold earrings, gold necklaces and rudraksha malas, wearing a saffron-red robe with gold-colored embellishments and red-and-gold armbands, places a hand on the young man's head in blessing. Behind them, several men in white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas stand, and a gold deity murti and an oil lamp are in the foreground. The figure on the right has distinctive ornate adornments and long hair, so the appearance is a probable match to the page's a person reference.

A photo of a curly-haired man in a white loose shirt and a wooden rudraksha-style mala necklace, eyes closed and head tilted, with his right hand raised palm-out in front of him. Another person's bare arm reaches in from the right and presses a palm to his forehead in a blessing-like gesture against a dark red curtain backdrop. A white cabinet-like unit sits at the right edge. No clear a person cues of saffron clothing, long swept hair or crown are visible, so the identity is uncertain.
