A central figure with long dark hair and a full beard wears a maroon-brown wrap, a white flower garland and a gold necklace, and is flanked by saffron-robed attendants. A large golden umbrella with a multicoloured fringe is held above him, with smaller red and orange parasols beside. Bare-chested men in saffron and white dhotis carry staffs and a fan, while women and girls in saffron saris and tunics stand at the right, many with hands raised in greeting. Saffron-clad women and devotees line the path, and some hold their hands up in greeting. The scene suggests a ceremonial procession.2017-02-09Night photograph of an outdoor procession on bare ground before dark trees. A seated figure in pink clothing and a garland sits on a gold-trimmed throne beneath a multicoloured canopy, with a trident placed beside it. Drummers in orange and saffron clothing play large drums while walking, and a young boy in a teal kurta and white dhoti plays a cymbal-like instrument. Other participants in orange, white and lavender dress stand along the procession route, and a child in a red dress watches. A second canopy and trident appear at the right. Attribution of the seated figure to a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, so the identity remains unsure.2016-09-01January 15 20182018-01-15November 11 20102010-11-11November 11 20152015-11-11October 30 20162016-10-30
