June 19 20142014-06-19June 19 20142014-06-19A crowded courtyard at an ashram-style compound, photographed from above as many men move through it. Foreground men in white and cream shirts and a man in a bright orange-and-red striped polo walk toward the viewer. Behind them, several men in white dhotis and shirts, some wearing yellow shawls and rudraksha malas, walk across a sandy courtyard with circular patterns. An older man in a saffron-orange garment stands near the centre. A row of blue plastic chairs and a black speaker stand at the right side beside a red-doored building and green shrubs. Roughly thirty people are visible.2010-07-15Outdoor photo of a group walking barefoot across a pale paved courtyard under a roofed open pavilion with a small shrine in the background. In the foreground a figure with long braided hair wears a rust-red garment with gold-yellow borders and a bare shoulder, and beside them a man in a white kurta carries a saffron-and-white shawl over his shoulders. Other men in white kurtas, black shirts, an orange kurta and light shirts walk around them. The shrine shows a deity murti under a red-draped arch. Trees and bright sunlight frame the scene.2014-06-19June 19 20142014-06-19October 24 20102010-10-24July 08 20092009-07-08A photograph of a ceremonial procession descending a short flight of pale stone steps under a tented pavilion strung with red and orange bunting. In the foreground a person in a flowing saffron-orange robe walks toward the viewer, long dark hair falling loose, with bare feet on the ground and a white kolam design beneath. Behind him, several men in white dhotis and white shirts, many wearing orange shawls, follow, one holding a tall trident-like staff topped with a metal trident. Another man in white carries a brass vessel. A crowd of onlookers in white and pastel clothing stands along a whitewashed wall decorated with marigold garlands and red-and-white stripes, and a tall painted pillar stands at right. Whether the foreground figure is a particular person cannot be established from appearance cues alone, so the figure is described by role and clothing only.2006-12-31A photograph of a crowd descending a whitewashed stone staircase with red-painted bands on the side wall, under trees. In the centre, a figure in saffron-orange robes wears a garland of yellow and orange flowers around the neck and walks down the steps, with a second saffron-robed attendant in front of him. Around them, men in white dhotis and white shirts wear ID lanyards, and women in saris and a woman in purple walk along the handrails. Several saffron-robed figures and people in casual clothing are visible on the stairs and landings. The figure in the garland is an appearance-based candidate, but the cues are limited to saffron robes and a garland, so identity is uncertain.2010-02-17November 11 20172017-11-11Outdoor photograph of a group walking up a broad pink-and-grey granite plaza toward a large circular mosaic pattern set in green lawns with a tree line behind. In the foreground, a man in a white shirt and dark trousers walks beside a man in a red kurta. Behind them, a bare-chested man in orange-saffron cloth with a long beard and long hair walks in front of a woman in orange sari with a mala. To the right, a bearded man in a white dhoti with gold border and a gold-and-beaded necklace walks forward. A golf-cart-style vehicle is parked at the right edge, and a small figure in orange stands near it. Several other people are partly visible in the background.2017-11-25November 11 20172017-11-11
