A man in a long rust-orange robe with gold trim walks at centre, carrying nothing, with long dark hair. Beside him a man holds up a large yellow canopy umbrella with red pole and beaded fringe. Several men in white dhotis with gold-bordered shawls and gold beaded garlands walk alongside. An older bearded man in saffron-orange robe leans on a walking staff. A man in white holds a small drum. Air conditioning units hang from the tent frame.2016-04-20May 05 20162016-05-05A ceremonial procession in a tent-like hall with white draped walls and a red carpet covered by colourful woven mats. Under a striped red, yellow and blue ornamental parasol, a bearded man in a saffron-orange sannyasi robe and dark-red lower cloth walks forward, with a light-coloured wrap-style garment. Behind him a man with a bare upper body, rudraksha beads and decorative markings walks in white dhoti with orange border, holding a phone. Other attendants stand near the right, several in yellow and gold attire, one wearing a red and gold top. Brass vessels and a white-clothed table with flowers and a red-and-gold textile sit on the left, and a large white fan and red cushioned seating appear in the foreground. Several more people stand in the background. The scene suggests a puja or ritual procession.2016-12-18A procession walks down a red carpet runner in a covered temple hall with orange walls and a corrugated roof. At the centre, a man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with long hair swept back, a rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, walks barefoot under a multicoloured ceremonial umbrella with a fringed canopy. Behind him, men in white dhotis with gold-bordered shawls and gold necklaces walk alongside women in orange and white saris. A man in white kurta holds a tall yellow and gold ceremonial standard with an emblem at the left. Decorated multicoloured ceremonial poles line the hall, and framed photographs hang on the walls. The centred figure is a probable Swamiji by appearance, based on the saffron attire, swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, and the page notes his presence at this event.2010-12-28A procession inside a large white tent with a green floor mat. At centre, a man in a rust-orange robe with a rudraksha mala and a gold ceremonial necklace walks beneath a yellow-orange parasol with fringed edging, holding a tall metal staff. Around him, men in white dhotis with gold borders and bare upper bodies carry rudraksha malas, and drummers in orange garments play drums to the right. A crowd of devotees lines the left side, some with hands raised or folded. The page does not indicate a person's presence at this event, and the central figure's appearance is not sufficient to establish identity, so he is described by role only.2016-04-17A procession under a decorated tent on a red carpet. A man in the centre wears a rust-brown robe, a long floral garland, gold necklaces and a red and gold turban, and walks ahead of a row of attendants in white dhotis with gold borders and bare chests. A large ornate parasol with a multicolour fringe is carried above the group, and a ceremonial rod bearer stands to the side. Behind them, figures in orange robes follow. Hanging orange and gold tassels and lamps decorate the ceiling, with gilded deity shrines along the left wall. A bare-chested man with long dark hair wears a red dhoti and a long gold-coloured beaded necklace, walking barefoot at the front. Behind him a decorated ceremonial umbrella with red, white and blue panels is carried on a pole. Several people in white dhotis and orange-saffron robes follow along the railing, including a woman in an orange sari holding a metal tray. Wall pillars with coloured patterned bands and an open doorway with lights and a glimpse of a decorated shrine area are visible.2010-12-22
