A homa or yagna being performed in an open-sided hall with bare concrete floor and smoke rising. On the left a man in a rust-red dhoti with gold borders and a flower garland stands smiling and holds a stick. At centre a shaved-headed priest in rust-red and gold-bordered dhoti with a bare upper body and a rudraksha mala bends over the fire pit, tending it with a long iron rod. Around him stand several young men in white t-shirts and white dhotis, one in a white shirt, and another man in a white turban-like cloth. A man in red-and-gold garments is partly visible at the right edge. A fire burns in a shallow sand pit at the centre, and a metal tool or ladle is held over the flames. Several men in white t-shirts and white or grey trousers stand around the fire. In the foreground, a figure with hair in a bun, wearing a red-maroon cloth draped over one shoulder and a gold-bead garland, faces the fire. Three bald men in red-maroon robes with yellow-gold borders and rudraksha malas stand at left and right, watching the ritual. Smoke drifts across the upper part of the room.2014-08-24A row of men seated on the floor during a pada puja ritual in a hall with white walls and red curtains. The foreground man is bald, wears rimless glasses, a rudraksha mala and a saffron-and-gold shawl over a bare chest, with white sacred ash marks on his forehead and arm, and holds a small offering item. Beside him, a younger man with long hair, a white garment with gold border and dark beads offers something from his hand. Other priests in saffron and red-brown robes sit in a line behind, holding incense or puja items, with brass vessels, flower-decorated plates and oil lamps on the floor in front. Four to five people are clearly visible.2014-04-20April 24 20132013-04-24March 15 20142014-03-15March 15 20142014-03-15September 24 20122012-09-24April 28 20152015-04-28
