November 16 20112011-11-16A man in an orange-red saffron shawl with a multi-strand gold bead necklace and a red tilak on his forehead places his right hand on the head of a bespectacled young man in white. The blessing figure holds a folded white paper in his left hand and looks down. Behind them, several men in white dhotis and shirts stand watching, one holding a bead mala, and a gold-coloured ritual vessel is visible at the right edge. A partial red-and-yellow banner hangs at the top of the scene. Swamiji (probable): the saffron shawl, gold necklace and long swept-back hair mark him as the central figure giving a blessing; the setting suggests a darshan or blessing moment.2010-12-28November 16 20112011-11-16A photograph of a padapuja-style blessing in an indoor hall with pale pink walls and a ceiling fan. A man with long dark curly hair, wearing an orange sleeveless robe and a long rudraksha mala, places his right hand on the head of a young man in a light blue shirt and glasses who kneels with palms joined. Behind him, a man in a white dhoti with red borders and a white shawl stands with hands folded, and another man in an orange robe with a mala stands at the right edge. Decorated pillars with geometric patterns and orange tassels frame the scene, and a small paper slip is held in the blessing hand. The figure in orange with the long hair has distinctive long swept hair and a rudraksha mala, so he is a probable Swamiji candidate in the blessing role.2010-11-18 +1 copiesJanuary 05 20132013-01-05January 02 20132013-01-02October 21 20132013-10-21 +1 copiesA photograph of a blessing moment in a temple-like hall. The robed figure wears a red kumkum mark on the forehead and a long rudraksha mala. A man in an orange saffron robe with a long rudraksha mala and a white forehead marking raises his hand to bless a young man in a white kurta who bows his head. Beside them a man in a white shirt wipes his face with a cloth, and a man in a white kurta presses his palms together. On the right a shaven-headed priest in a bare-chested white cloth holds a silver tray with brass items. Several others stand in the background, including a figure in orange with a shaven head. a person with the saffron robe and rudraksha mala is the blessing figure in the centre, though the face is not clearly distinguishable.2010-11-30A photograph of an indoor devotional gathering. A man with long dark hair swept back, wearing an orange saffron shawl and draped orange garment, multiple rudraksha malas and a rudraksha bracelet, smiles while placing his right hand on the forehead of a young man in a white shirt whose palms are pressed together in namaskar. Several robed attendants in white and orange stand around, a cameraman holding a camera raises it at left, and devotees and framed portraits line the hall. The orange-clad figure has distinctive long swept hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha malas, matching the page's a person reference, so this is a probable identification from appearance, not a confirmed one.2011-11-08September 21 20122012-09-21A photograph of a ritual blessing in an indoor hall with orange and white drapery overhead. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace places his right hand on the head of a young man in a white shirt, while holding a folded white paper in his left hand. Behind him, shaven-headed priests in orange robes and white dhoti shawls stand near a silver tray holding gold items. Several onlookers, including a boy in a navy shirt in the foreground, watch the blessing. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired man in saffron robes with rudraksha beads is the appearance-based candidate, shown in the act of blessing a devotee.2010-10-26
