A bare-chested man in a red-orange cloth wrapped around his body, with a dark rudraksha mala and a forehead mark, extends his hands over the pit. Beside him, a younger man in orange robes with a red-bordered shawl holds a brass tray. Another man in orange stands at the right edge. In the background, two small girls and several onlookers watch, including a woman in white and older men in light shirts. The fire pit suggests a homa or yagna.2009-06-15Outdoor ritual on a white stepped platform under palm trees with a pale sky. Two saffron-robed men stand at the top: the left one, bare-chested in a red-orange cloth and wearing a rudraksha mala, pours liquid from a small vessel; the right one, in a longer orange shawl and dhoti, holds a brass bowl. Flower petals lie on the steps and smoke or incense rises behind them. Several white-clad devotees with folded hands and garlands stand at the left edge, and a figure in pink appears at the far right by a banner and bamboo poles.2009-06-15Outdoor photograph of a homa or fire ritual at a raised white square fire pit on a concrete platform, scattered with flower petals. Three men in orange-saffron robes take part: one in the centre with a rudraksha mala and a tilak-marked face holds a brass tray with a flame, while a second in orange robe bends forward toward the pit, and a third in orange stands at right. Coconut palms, a signboard with a map at left, and a few onlookers in the background, including two children, surround the courtyard.2009-06-15July 13 20142014-07-13February 14 20072007-02-14September 09 20132013-09-09June 15 20092009-06-15October 08 20082008-10-08September 09 20132013-09-09
