Photograph of a large outdoor devotional gathering in front of a small open shrine with a deity murti under a peaked canopy, with trees and palms behind. A figure in a saffron/orange robe stands at the shrine near the center, facing it. A dense crowd of devotees, mostly women and children, stands in the foreground and middle: several girls and women in orange and gold-bordered saris, women in white saris, a woman in a light blue-and-white sari, and a woman in a floral top, with some in white kurtas. Strings of lights and a banner with printed figures hang at the upper left. Hair is braided or in buns, and some wear vermilion marks on their foreheads.2015-08-28January 15 20162016-01-15A large group of people in saffron-orange clothing sits cross-legged on a white floor in a hall, viewed from behind. Many men wear orange turbans and orange cloth wraps, while women wear orange saris and have hair in buns, braids and loose styles. Banana-leaf or plate-like offerings are set in rows before them, and a pink and green cloth lies on the floor. Some participants wear rudraksha or beaded necklaces. The back wall shows a chalkboard sign and a stage with pink drapery.2017-09-19October 02 20142014-10-02August 24 20162016-08-24January 15 20162016-01-15October 03 20142014-10-03May 07 20162016-05-07February 16 20162016-02-16March 01 20162016-03-01A photograph of a large indoor hall where many seated devotees face a raised stage. Most are on the floor in rows, many in white sarees with gold borders and others in saffron-orange robes and orange shawls, with several women with long braids visible from behind. On the stage, a seated figure in orange robes sits before a painted backdrop of a large tree, with a golden throne on the right holding robed figures and a golden deity murti on the left. A screen on a stand shows a seated figure in orange. A blue sign lists photography and video camera restrictions. Oil lamps and offerings sit on the floor near the front rows.2016-02-02 +1 copiesA large crowd of women in saffron-orange saris stands on a tiled temple courtyard, many with palms pressed together in namaskar or holding small items. Several wear rudraksha malas and white-clad women in cream saris stand among them. A kolam rangoli of coloured flowers lies on the ground at left. At right, a decorated elephant figure draped with garlands and a red temple structure with a kalasha-topped shrine are visible, with palm trees behind. The scene suggests a devotional gathering or padapuja line.2017-09-02
