A close photograph of several brass kalasha pots arranged on a woven mat, each wrapped in white cotton thread and topped with a coconut and fresh green mango leaves, with red and yellow kumkum marks on the pots and coconuts. Behind them, the orange-robed lap of a seated person is visible, and a small brass vessel with leaves sits at the right edge. The arrangement suggests a puja or abhishekam preparation, though no people are clearly shown.2006-12-28December 21 20092009-12-21Close view of a row of ritual offerings on a silver tray lined with green banana leaves. Several tall conical mounds of orange-yellow powder. Each mound is crowned with strands of white jasmine garlands and green leaves. Some vessels are draped with orange, red and white cloths. Small bowls hold grains and spices at the front. No people are visible; a brass bell and draped fabric appear in the background.2012-09-04 +1 copiesDecember 12 20162016-12-12July 16 20062006-07-16May 02 20172017-05-02A photograph of five silver kalasha pots arranged on a green banana leaf on a white cloth-covered table. Each pot is wrapped with white cotton thread in a net pattern and topped with a coconut wrapped in straw, with mango leaves fanned around the pots. The central, larger pot has a garland of white flowers on its coconut and a small red and black string tied at its neck. White rice grains are scattered at the base of the pots. Behind the table, blurred trays of flowers and rice suggest a ritual setting, with no people clearly visible.2012-05-03April 04 20182018-04-04Dense rows of brass kalasha pots wrapped in white netting cover a white cloth. Each pot has a brass rim and a coconut with a reddish-pink husk topped with green mango leaves, and the netting is dotted with red kumkum marks. The arrangement looks like ritual preparation for a homa or yagna, with the pots set out in rows across the foreground. No people are visible in the frame, though a partial figure in white clothing appears at the top edge.2006-07-16Outdoor ritual arrangement on reddish-brown earth set on a row of red bricks. Seven coconuts with their fibrous husks intact sit in white woven-mesh cups decorated with red and white flowers, each tucked with green mango or leaf sprigs. Heaped white rice lies on a large green banana leaf beside them. A small blue-grey metal tool edge is visible at left. No people are visible.2017-03-11Close-up photo of rows of brass-rimmed kalasha pots, each topped with a green mango-leaf garland and a coconut with red kumkum marks, wrapped in white netted fabric with gold sparkle. No people are visible, so this shows ritual pots prepared for the Sapta Yaagam fire offerings at Salem rather than the event itself. The image is blurred and the pots fill the frame.2006-07-16Close-up photo of ritual offerings on a table draped with a purple cloth with gold embroidery. Several coconuts wrapped in white cloth stand with green mango or leaf sprigs and red hibiscus flowers. A polished silver kalasha-style vessel with engraved relief sits among them, with a bundle of grass or straw stems. Out-of-focus people stand in the background of what appears to be a gathering or ceremony.2013-12-09
