A photograph of a group of shirtless men seated in a row during a ritual, with white sacred ash marks on their foreheads, chests and arms, and white sacred threads over their shoulders. The central man, wearing glasses and a red rudraksha mala with a pendant, sits with eyes lowered and hands near a small object on a cloth. A seated man with bare upper body, white dhoti and a white tilak stripe on his forehead sits cross-legged on a red stage carpet, speaking into a microphone on a stand while gesturing with his right hand. Beside him sits a row of seated men in white and pale kurtas and shirts, some with hands folded in namaste or resting on knees; one man in a striped blue shirt and a man with long grey hair in white clothes listen attentively. A palm-leaf mat lies on the floor in front, and orange and patterned hangings decorate the upper right corner of the hall.
