A small carved figurine of a bearded male sage stands on a round base, with a hand pouring liquid from above onto its head during an abhishekam. The figure wears a draped saffron-toned cloth, a long rudraksha-style bead mala, and a red tilak on the forehead, with its right hand raised in blessing. Behind it is an ornate carved wooden lattice screen with cross-shaped cutouts and coloured glass panes. The statue is a depiction, not a physically present person, so no living people are visible. Caption text along the bottom reads nithyanandotsavam day 18 - abhishekam to sph swamiji.2021-01-15ADIKAILASA on 1/15/20212021-01-15A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a standing statue of a bearded sage. No physical people are present; the figure is a statue, not a living person.2015-02-19A carved wooden statue of a bearded ascetic standing on a round pedestal in front of a lattice screen with colourful cross-shaped panels. The figure wears a long rudraksha mala, a draped ochre-toned cloth, and a red tilak or ornament on the crown of the head. One hand is raised in blessing and the other rests near the waist. In the lower left, a brass oil lamp with a lit flame sits beside a small pot. The statue is the subject, not a living person, and the scene is a temple-like setting for a ritual observance.2021-01-15December 03 20182018-12-03October 15 20182018-10-15December 16 20182018-12-16June 28 20182018-06-28
