A wide photograph of the Ganga river at Rishikesh under an overcast sky. Shallow, grey-brown water runs over rocks and riffles across the foreground. Forested hills rise behind the far bank, with white buildings and a small domed structure on the shore. A few tiny figures stand on a sandbank in the middle distance, too small to describe further. Power lines cross the top of the frame.

A wide photograph of a river at dusk with rushing, shallow water in the foreground and scattered dark rocks. Across the water, a small riverside town sits at the base of forested green hills under a pale pink-tinged sky with thin clouds. A white cylindrical water tower stands on the right bank among trees, and power lines cross the upper sky. No people are visible.

A wide, murky river flows across the foreground under an overcast sky, with scattered grey boulders and shallow rippled water. Beyond the far bank, a steep, partly eroded hillside rises, covered in green trees and shrubs, with misty mountains behind it. No people, ritual objects or structures are visible. The scene is a plain landscape of a river and forested hills.

A photograph of a wide, greyish-brown river flowing between forested green hills under a partly cloudy sky. A suspension footbridge with white-painted cables and towers spans the river in the middle distance. On the far bank, buildings and a small domed white structure sit among the trees, and a multi-tiered temple spire stands on the right bank beside a row of buildings. The foreground shows pale rocks and pebbles at the water's edge. No people are visible in the scene.

A wide, muddy-brown river flows through a green, forested valley under overcast skies. A small boat with a single figure moves across the water, leaving a wake, near the far bank. Steep wooded hills rise behind, with a few buildings and a road along the left bank and a pale-walled structure on the right. No physical crowd is present, and no a person candidate is visible in the scene.

A photograph of a fast-flowing, murky river with white churning rapids over and around large grey boulders in the foreground. Green grass and shrubs line the banks. Behind the river, a cluster of multi-storey buildings with flat and tiled roofs sits on a green hillside, with forested mountains rising in hazy layers under an overcast sky. A tall metal transmission tower and a suspension bridge cable structure appear at the right edge. No people are visible in the scene.

A photograph of a riverside town in a hilly valley. A fast-flowing, murky river runs across the middle distance, its banks strewn with large grey boulders in the foreground. Multi-storey houses in brick, pink and cream colours cluster on the slope on the left and along the far bank, with forested hills rising behind them under a hazy grey sky. A slim utility pole stands at right beside a potted plant with broad green leaves and a yellow flower. A white plastic bag lies among the rocks. No people are visible.

A wide daytime view of a broad river with pale greenish water flowing left to right under a hazy sky. On the far bank, a row of multi-storey buildings, a tall temple-style tower and trees sit at the foot of forested hills. A grey rocky outcrop juts into the water at the right edge. No people are visible in the scene.
