A photograph inside a shrine with a gilded arched frame and red curtain, showing a deity murti pair seated on a pink cushion, one figure in orange and red garments with a crown and garlands, beside a smaller figure with a crown. Flanking figures in gold-painted statues wear marigold garlands. In the foreground a priest in orange and gold-bordered cloth bends over an altar decorated with a white shivalinga-shaped mound topped with green leaves, surrounded by a ring of vegetables such as beans, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes. Two men in white dhotis sit at the altar, one holding a brass bowl, and a man with rudraksha beads sits at right. Three people are physically present.2014-11-06July 13 20152015-07-13March 07 20162016-03-07A photograph inside a temple shrine lit by warm light. Behind a gold-framed alcove stand deity murtis draped in garlands, with a gold kalasha-like lamp stand in front. A seated figure in a red and gold turban and a red shawl, wearing a heavy gold necklace, sits on an ornate gold throne with a lotus-petal backrest. Several attendants in white dhotis and bare-chested devotees in saffron cloth stand around him, while women in red and orange saris hold up white cloth and offering items. A few devotees bow and receive blessings. The seated figure, wearing red and gold, matches the page's appearance cues for a person by his turban, gold necklaces and ceremonial dress.2017-09-05A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a group of priests in saffron and maroon garments performing ritual worship before a large deity murti of Shiva and Parvati seated together on a pedestal, decorated with garlands of yellow, orange and multicoloured flowers. A priest in a saffron dhoti with bare upper body and a dark turban pours liquid from a vessel over a black linga-like stone in front of the murti, while another priest in maroon holds a bowl. A seated figure in a maroon garment with a dark cap and garland sits at the right, and a small brass figure and a gold kalasha-like object rest on the floor. Gold arches frame the shrine. This appears to be an abhishekam with a Mahashivaratri setting. Four priests are visible. The shrine is Hindu temple worship, with no clear identification of any individual.2016-03-07A temple shrine scene with a black stone shivalinga-style base at centre, flanked by two gilded deity murtis of a seated male and female pair wearing silver necklaces, crowns and red-and-white draped garments, all garlanded with multicoloured flower arches. On the right, a third murti is seated with garlands and a raised hand. In the foreground on the left, a figure in orange robes and two other people in maroon and red cloths stand at the base of the shrine, one holding out an offering plate. Small brass figures and a kalasha-like brass object sit on the platform below. The setting is dim with carved stone pillars and archways.2016-03-07A photograph inside a temple sanctum showing a black Shiva linga on a dark base, flanked by two golden-finished deity murtis seated on a throne with an arched gold and green backdrop. The murtis are draped in colourful garlands with yellow, purple and white flowers. In the foreground, a man in a dark red-brown dhoti and shawl with gold borders stands with his hands clasped, while to the left a woman in red attire and a priest in red robes hold ritual items. A stone-faced figure in red robes with a garland sits on the right.2016-03-07November 06 20142014-11-06Photo of a temple shrine ritual. Centre, a man in a maroon robe, maroon turban with a green feather-like ornament, and gold necklaces sits on a low seat before a golden peetha-style backdrop, holding white threads or cords as he performs a ritual. Around him, bare-chested men in white dhotis and an orange-robed man with long dreadlocked hair stand close, and women in orange and white saris stand to the right, some touching the cords. Behind them, a gilded arch frames a deity murti group: a figure with trident and crescent holding a kalasha-shaped element, a consort in red and gold, and two side figures with garlands. Gilded panels, red curtains and flower garlands fill the shrine.2017-09-05November 06 20142014-11-06September 11 20162016-09-11November 26 20172017-11-26
