A man seated on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head arms wears a red-orange turban with a white floral ornament, an orange-red robe with gold border, and a marigold garland; he holds a small object and sits with bare feet. Before him, a group of about a dozen devotees sit on the floor in white clothing, several with hands folded in anjali, around a gold tray set with silver plates of offerings, red flower petals and lamps. Brass bells and hanging oil lamps are suspended above, and a camera on a tripod stands at left. Given the group visible, this is a pada puja setting.2014-09-07Seated on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, a man with long dark hair wears an orange saffron garment and a rudraksha-style bead necklace with gold ornaments, eyes closed, while a devotee kneels before him. A gilded peacock-style throne back, a trident-topped staff and a golden ceremonial staff stand beside him, and a red-and-gold lamp stand is nearby. Kneeling in front, seated devotees in white dhotis and gold necklaces attend steel plates with pink flowers, fruit and lamps on a low platform, one man with a gold necklace seated in white, a woman in a white sari with a black mala, and a young man in white. Behind them, a deity murti stands on an altar draped with orange cloth and a flower garland, and orange-saffron-clad priests sit at the edge of the room. This appears to be a puja and satsang setting with pujari offerings.2010-11-12July 15 20112011-07-15November 13 20102010-11-13A seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a golden lion on each side is receiving padapuja. He wears a rust-red turban with a white plume, a rust-red robe, and layered garlands of multicolored beads and a red-and-white flower garland, with a rudraksha mala. Bare feet rest on a tiger-print cloth while a kneeling priest in white dhoti and shawl, with bare shoulders and shaved head, holds his hands in namaskar. Devotees in orange, red and rust saris and shawls sit on the floor around silver plates of flowers and oil lamps. A large screen and a printed landscape banner appear behind the throne. The figure's appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference, but the identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2013-12-17Padapuja ceremony in an indoor hall. A man in orange robes, long dark hair and a beaded necklace sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne draped with marigold, rose and white garlands, with a headband across his forehead. Devotees in orange clothing kneel before him, washing or offering to his feet from silver plates and bowls holding apples, flowers and water. A woman in a white sari with orange shawl and a woman in a green sari sit nearby with hands folded in prayer. A gold-framed table holds apples and papers, and a blue curtain hangs behind. Swamiji (probable) is seated on the throne, identified by the orange robes, long hair, ceremonial beaded necklace and headband; his role is recipient of the padapuja.2010-12-27A seated figure on a gold-and-cream throne with a gilded lion-head armrest, wearing a rust-orange turban, rust-orange shawl and dhoti, and a long rudraksha-style mala, appears to be a depiction of a statue or wax-like figure rather than a live person; the figure's green-tinted skin and stillness suggest a statue. Around a gold-edged table, several devotees in white kurtas, orange and purple saris sit before brass thalis holding flowers, red fruit and lamps, with one man in white and a woman in purple placing offerings. Bells and a hanging brass lamp hang above, with a gold oil lamp at left and a carved wooden door behind. A bald figure in the foreground watches. This appears to be a puja and padapuja-style offering scene in an ashram room.2014-11-27 +1 copiesA photograph of a padapuja ceremony on an ornate golden throne draped with a striped tiger-skin cloth. A seated figure in a rust-red robe, garlanded with white and pink flowers, sits with a gold crown and a trident-tipped staff beside him. Before him, a man in a pale peach kurta with a red shawl kneels and washes the seated figure's feet in a large orange-rimmed basin, adding leaves and petals. Elderly women in white and orange saris, and a woman in an orange sari at the lower left, watch nearby. Gold throne carvings and a red canopy frame the scene. The seated figure is an appearance-based probable Swamiji, identified by crown, garland and ornate gold necklaces on a throne during padapuja.2016-05-24
