A man in a violet dhoti and matching shawl with a red-and-gold border, wearing a long rudraksha-style mala and gold necklace, walks under a red-and-gold fringed umbrella held by a shaved-headed man in white ritual cloth. Beside him, a man in an orange dhoti and orange shawl with a yellow garland carries a silver tray of flowers and an offering vessel. Nearby, a woman in a blue sari stands among onlookers, and bronze deity figures draped in marigold garlands and red cloth stand to the right. A camera operator is visible at the frame edge. The setting suggests a pada-puja ritual.2011-12-14December 14 20112011-12-14Outdoor temple procession at sunset. A man with long swept-back hair, a red bindi, a multi-strand silver necklace and silver armlets wears a green and yellow silk garment and walks beside a large brass and wooden palanquin-style carriage decorated with red cloth and yellow-orange flower garlands. A smiling man in a violet dhoti and deep red border walks forward down the centre, wearing a rudraksha mala, a gold pendant and gold armlets. Behind him at left, a shaved-headed attendant in orange robes carries a long staff. Two white-clad people stand at the right side beside metal railings, one with hands folded in namaste, and a striped umbrella and green fan-leaf canopies frame the scene. The man's appearance is not sufficient to establish identity, so he is described by role only.2011-12-14July 19 20162016-07-19Photograph of four men descending white stone steps beside a red wooden railing and a terracotta wall, with green trees behind.
