A standing figure in orange robes holds a brass lamp or vessel near a dark stone deity murti on the left, with a pink stone base and offerings. Around him a group of about twenty men in white dhotis and orange shawls stand with hands folded in prayer, some wearing rudraksha malas. A dark reflecting pool and white and pink flower offerings lie on the ground. Another orange-clad figure stands at right with palms joined.2008-09-28November 24 20122012-11-24December 06 20122012-12-06A priest in white dhoti and shawl with red borders stands at left, seen from behind with a shaved head, holding a lit oil lamp aloft toward a large dark stone sculpture of a dancing deity. The murti stands within a circular arch of flame-like scrollwork, holding a long staff across its body. An orange-walled building with a window and ceiling fan is behind, and a night sky is above. Arm bands of white paint are visible on the priest's arms.2011-09-01At night outdoors, a man in a white dhoti with a gold border and bare upper body holds a brass lamp with a bright flame in his right hand and a small brass bell in his left, offering arati before a large grey stone Ganesha murti seated on a carved pedestal. Bamboo and a red-washed compound wall frame the scene, with pebbles and rocks on the ground. The figure's face is turned away and his ceremonial role is clear; his identity is not established by appearance. No a person candidate is distinctly visible.2013-11-14Night-time photograph of a small red-walled shrine with a grey stone deity murti. A bald man in a rust-orange dhoti and shawl holds a lit flame toward the murti, while a second man in white dhoti and white shawl with gold border stands beside him with his back to the camera. Through a green gate on the right, several people in white garments stand among lit lamps and decorated festoons. A floodlight and smoke rise overhead.2013-03-02Night photograph of an outdoor shrine in an ashram-like garden. A black stone Ganesha murti with a trunk stands on a stone platform surrounded by reddish rocks, beside an orange-red compound wall and bushes with pink flowers. Three people in plain white dhoti-style garments with gold borders stand in prayer. The person on the left has a shaved head and holds a red bag, the woman in the center has hands folded in namaskar, and the person on the right holds a lit oil lamp toward the murti.2013-01-09Night-time outdoor ritual at a temple courtyard.
