A photograph of a temple shrine courtyard where a man in a long-sleeved orange-saffron garment with long swept-back hair and a green leaf garland over a red-and-yellow marigold garland receives a brass plate of white jasmine flowers offered by a devotee in white. Two other men in orange robes stand nearby, one holding a brass lamp with a lit flame and white garland. Behind them, a deity murti in a bright blue and orange sari with flower garlands sits on a white-draped platform scattered with pink and white petals. A tall brass lamp stand and a stone carved wall panel frame the scene, and the devotee at left, in white, presses palms together in greeting.2008-08-07July 29 20082008-07-29December 23 20092009-12-23November 02 20102010-11-02September 09 20112011-09-09December 24 20092009-12-24May 05 20122012-05-05Outdoor photo at a South Indian temple courtyard with a gopuram tower and a covered colonnade. A smiling man in the centre wears a flowing orange robe over a red top, a gold pendant and a long garland of beads, with a red tilak on his forehead and long swept-back hair; he has an appearance-based candidate profile for a person with distinctive saffron clothing, long hair, a garland and a gold pendant. To the left, a bearded sadhu in orange holds a paper and wears a mala. A white-clad man stands at the left edge, and an elder in pink kurta greets someone at right. A woman in an orange sari stands in the right foreground, and several white-clad devotees and onlookers fill the background. A banner over the entrance reads Arunachaleswarar temple.2009-08-06A photograph of a procession inside a temple courtyard. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a white forehead mark wears a saffron-orange shawl and a thick garland of white and magenta flowers with gold beads, plus gold bangles on his upper arm. He smiles and walks forward. Beside him on the left, a shaved-headed priest in saffron robes and a rudraksha mala holds a tall silver staff, while a priest in white dhoti and shawl walks behind. Other devotees in white and saffron stand in the background, and an attendant on the right holds a brass tray. Orange-painted walls and pillars frame the scene.2011-12-11December 23 20092009-12-23June 05 20122012-06-05August 06 20092009-08-06
