A photograph of a temple-style ritual in an orange-walled courtyard. At left, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala sits on a wooden seat wearing an orange garment, with a red cushion behind him; the appearance cues are mixed and not sufficient for an identification, so he is described only by role. Women in orange and white saris and a woman in a yellow shawl hold lit oil lamps and silver aarti plates raised in front of them, and a bald man in a white dhoti sits at a brass tray laden with silver bowls and offerings. A man in white dhoti walks in the background past an open doorway, and a kalasha sits on a red-draped stand at right. The scene reads as an aarti offering before a seated figure.2010-10-30A photograph of a padapuja-style ritual in an open courtyard with red and white striped walls and yellow curtains. A man with long dark hair, wearing saffron-orange robes, rudraksha malas and yellow-orange flower garlands, sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne, with eyes lowered. Around him, devotees in white clothes and yellow shawls sit on the floor, several with palms pressed together in namaskar and others holding brass plates and small lamps with offerings of flowers. A microphone stand stands at right and a small table with flowers and items sits behind the group. The throne-seated figure matches the page's a person reference through visible saffron robes, malas and garlands, so this is a probable identification from appearance.2010-08-19October 30 20102010-10-30Devotees in white ritual clothes and gold-bordered dhotis or saris sit on the floor in a hall, many with white and red forehead markings. A bare-chested man at left holds a small lamp aloft, and a young woman and a girl in white and orange-trimmed clothing hold lamps near the foreground. A man in white with a prominent forehead mark and beaded necklace sits in the centre. At right, a figure in orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits on a gold ornate throne with red cushions, with long swept-back hair and a crown-like gold backdrop; the seated figure matches the page's reference to a person, though the appearance is only partially visible. Fruit and flowers rest on a small table beside the throne, and a white tower fan stands in the background.2010-10-22 +1 copiesOctober 31 20102010-10-31 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual gathering in a room with red-orange walls and a gold-edged wooden stand in the foreground. A man in an orange robe with a dark beaded mala sits at left near a tray of flowers. A woman with short silver-white hair in a white blouse and red sari draped over her shoulders holds a small silver cup. Several women in yellow shawls and cream saris, one with a red bindi, hold silver cups and offer them, while a bald man in an orange robe seated in front holds a cup. A woman with long dark hair in an orange-and-cream sari faces the group. A potted green plant and a silver vessel sit on a side table, and a red container stands near the wall. The scene suggests a padapuja-style offering of cups, though the setting is a seated satsang-style gathering.2010-09-20A photograph of a padapuja-style ceremony in a hall. A long-haired man in an orange shawl and leopard-print top sits enthroned on a gold-carved red throne behind a wooden podium holding fruit and flowers; he is the page-described subject, and the appearance cues (long swept-back hair, saffron shawl, ornate gold throne) are present but uncertain. Seated devotees in front hold brass aarti lamps with lit oil lamps and a silver plate of offerings; women in saris in teal, yellow and white and a man in white shirt with a rudraksha mala take part.2010-09-19October 26 20102010-10-26October 31 20102010-10-31 +2 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange robes, with a long rudraksha mala around his neck and long swept-back hair, sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne with his hands resting in his lap and eyes closed. Swamiji (probable) is shown as the seated central figure, with the appearance cues of long hair, saffron clothing, and rudraksha beads. Around him, women in white saris with yellow or orange shawls sit on the floor of an orange-walled courtyard with red and white striped dado, holding small brass vessels and offering plates. Some devotees raise their hands in prayer, and a woman at right wipes her eyes.
