March 02 20212021-03-02A homa fire ritual at night. A priest with bare upper body, orange-red cloth wrapped at the waist, rudraksha bracelet and a long beaded necklace pours grains from a metal vessel into a blazing fire pit. Next to him a second priest in an orange-red dhoti holds a brass plate. Bananas and garlands of yellow and white flowers with red roses lie near the flames. A priest with bare upper body and white markings on his arm and chest holds a silver ladle or vessel of offering toward the fire from the left. The seated figure wears a red cloth and is decorated with garlands of white jasmine, red roses and yellow marigolds, and bananas lie in the foreground at right. The golden decorations of a shrine are visible in the background. No face of the seated figure is clearly shown, so no identity is asserted.2021-03-02
