A young boy in an orange saffron cloth, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala and a red thread, stands at left holding a silver tray of red flowers and offerings. He faces a large black stone deity murti seated on a throne, adorned with a jewelled crown, white and red flower garlands, and a blue and gold-bordered silk garment. A gold-framed arch and blue drapery form the shrine backdrop, with another dark murti partly visible at left. The scene suggests a puja offering at a temple shrine.

On the left, a man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange-saffron robe, a heavy gold necklace, and white sacred ash markings on his forehead and upper arms. He holds a small brass handbell in one hand and a lit oil lamp in the other, its flame rising beside a dark stone deity murti. The black murti wears a crown of yellow, orange and pink flowers, a tilak mark on its forehead, and has ornamented shoulders and arms. Gold-framed arch and red drapery form the background.

A photograph inside a shrine with stone pillars and a gilded arched frame. A young man with a shaved head, wearing an orange dhoti and orange shawl with pink borders, stands barefoot with his back to the camera, raising a small lamp toward a Shiva lingam draped in marigold and red garland. Behind it stand larger deity murtis, one with a crown and red-and-blue garment, another in a golden arch beside a figure in yellow cloth. Brass vessels, steel containers, a kalasha and a blue silk cloth are arranged on the stone floor. Red curtains hang at the sides. Rules out a visible person of the page's named teacher due to the ambiguous appearance of the priest here; no crowd is present.

A photograph inside a temple of a black stone deity murti standing within an ornate gold arched frame. A figure in an orange saffron robe stands on a metal stepladder beside the murti, with long dark curly hair and a white-marked body, holding a lit oil lamp or flame near the statue's head. The murti wears an orange and red headdress with yellow flowers and a tilak mark on the forehead. To the left a young woman in an orange top watches from the floor beside a white sheer curtain; behind her a partially visible person in pink stands. To the right hang colourful embroidered cloth banners and a garland of white and red flowers. A deity murti with a headdress and an orange-robed figure on a ladder suggests an aarti or abhishekam ritual.
