Outdoor ritual scene at an ashram courtyard with red-walled buildings. In the centre, a young man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged before a small fire and a low stone platform laid with brass vessels, a plate and silver bowls. A standing young man in white dhoti with gold-bordered shawl and rudraksha necklace watches. Behind them, a seated figure in saffron robes with long rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold chain sits on an orange-cushioned chair (a throne-like seat) beneath a red-and-yellow flag, with an attendant in saffron nearby. Pink lotus flowers, sliced fruit, yellow marigold garlands and a brass lamp with a flame sit in the foreground. Several devotees in saffron sit or kneel around the area, and a framed portrait hangs on the right. This appears to be a homa or puja.2014-10-02Indoor puja in a hall with a white tiled floor, where seated devotees perform ritual worship.
