Both figures wear tall silver crowns, heavy jewelled necklaces and ornate ornaments, and are draped in garlands of white flowers, yellow marigolds and dark maroon blooms. The left figure holds a small bowl or cup and wears a purple velvet shawl over its arm; the right figure raises one hand in a blessing gesture and wears a patterned silk garment. A deep red cloth covers the base below. No living people are visible.2012-04-03December 28 20082008-12-28Two gilded deity murtis are seated side by side on a decorated palanquin or ratha, framed by dense garlands of red, orange, yellow and white flowers and gold-embroidered panels with lotus motifs. The figure on the left wears a red and orange turban, white dhoti, a red sash, and layered gold necklaces with red stones. The figure on the right wears a crown, a white dhoti, and heavy jewelled necklaces and earrings in green and red gems. The larger murti wears a tall golden crown, holds a red fruit in one hand and has its other hand raised in a gold mudra. A small brass oil lamp stands at left, and a green cloth hangs behind. A partial figure in white stands at the left edge. The photo appears to show a temple alankaram arrangement.2013-11-09Photograph of a temple deity shrine decorated with dense garlands of red, yellow, green, white and purple flowers framing two golden deity murtis with crowns and jewelled necklaces. In front stands a large white and purple flower garland over a central figure. Two priests in orange-red dhotis with yellow borders perform worship: one, with a shaved head and bare chest, holds a silver plate and tray of offerings, while another stands behind raising an arm toward the golden arch above. The scene suggests puja or aarti at the altar. Gilded arch and carved stone walls surround the shrine.2015-01-04A person in a rust-orange robe with long dark hair, a white tilak on the forehead and a red-and-white flower garland stands at the left, reaching out to touch the forehead of a large golden utsava murti of a seated deity couple. The gold-plated murti of a goddess in a golden crown and a red-and-gold brocade sari with heavy gold jewellery sits beside a smaller golden deity figure. The figures are draped in dense garlands of yellow marigolds, red roses, white jasmine and purple flowers, with green leaves. A gilded backdrop and ornate gold arch frame the scene, with a silver rudraksha mala and a gold ritual vessel at the lower left.2015-01-04July 18 20132013-07-18December 22 20182018-12-22 +1 copiesJanuary 04 20152015-01-04A photograph of a temple ritual in front of a richly decorated altar. Several deity murtis, heavily adorned with yellow, white, orange and red garlands and gold ornaments, sit on an ornate gold-trimmed peetha with banana leaves overhead. In the foreground, a bare-chested priest with a shaved-looking head and a tied topknot, wearing an orange dhoti and a rudraksha-style necklace, stands facing the altar and raises a silver ritual implement. Brass oil lamps stand in front of the murtis, and a white-clothed figure stands to the side. Other decorated shrines appear at the right.2016-12-19
