March 08 20142014-03-08A man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban stands in smoky light holding a silver tray with a lit brass oil lamp of three flames. He wears a rudraksha mala and a gold-coloured garland over his shoulder and has beaded bracelets on his wrist. Behind him, an ornate decorated structure with red, yellow and white floral patterns and a gilded top forms the backdrop, with another figure partly visible beside it. Swamiji (probable): the orange turban, saffron robes, rudraksha mala and ornate garland match the presentation cues, and he is performing the aarti as the officiant.2015-04-30A photograph of a shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron cloth wrap performing an aarti at night. He holds a brass lamp with a large, lit flame in his outstretched right arm, smoke rising against a dark background. A rudraksha-style bead mala is visible on his wrist and chest. A street light glows behind him.2012-01-08Close-up photo of a person seen from behind, with short dark hair and a gold necklace, holding up a silver aarti lamp with a flame burning over camphor or offering in its bowl. The silver lamp has a curved handle with ornate detailing. The background is a blurred figure in orange-saffron robes. A faint purple logo appears in the upper left corner.2010-11-09July 18 20122012-07-18A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, bare-shouldered, with a dark rudraksha mala around his neck, performs aarti by holding a brass multi-wick oil lamp with flames in his right hand while ringing a small brass handbell in his left. Vertical tilak marks are on his forehead. He stands in a plain white-walled room with a wooden door behind him; a blurred figure is at the lower left edge. The lamp flames are bright and the scene reads as a ritual lamp offering during a devotional gathering.2016-08-16October 07 20112011-10-07August 18 20172017-08-18A close photograph of a devotee's hand holding a brass aarti lamp with a tall flame rising from its shallow dish, lifted against a warm orange and pink blurred background. The person's gold bangle is visible on the wrist, and only part of the head and face is visible at the left edge. The scene suggests an evening lamp offering during a ritual.2012-01-08October 01 20112011-10-01A photograph of a shaved-headed man in an orange-red shawl with a yellow border, wearing rudraksha beads and thin-framed glasses, holding a lit brass oil lamp aloft in his right hand while ringing a brass bell in his left. A plain white wall stands behind him and a pale panel fills the right side of the frame.2011-09-10January 08 20122012-01-08
