In the foreground a man with long tousled hair, a black sleeveless top and grey trousers, with a tilak mark on his forehead, drives a shovel into reddish-brown soil. Beside him a person in an orange-saffron shirt printed with a portrait holds a spade, and another in orange robes digs at right. Several onlookers stand around, including a woman in a lilac sari with an orange border and a man in a white shirt. The ground is cleared into a shallow excavation with a stone-rimmed well or ring at the right edge.2016-09-11July 07 20092009-07-07July 07 20092009-07-07September 11 20162016-09-11July 07 20092009-07-07September 11 20162016-09-11Outdoor photo of a group digging in reddish-brown soil beneath a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots and hanging vines. In the foreground a bald man in an orange dhoti and orange shawl, with a rudraksha mala around his neck, swings a hoe while a man with long tied-back hair in a black sleeveless top and grey trousers digs with a spade. On the right a man in a dark shirt and black trousers holds a long pole, and a woman in an orange top watches. A man in white kurta and red waist cloth digs in the background, and onlookers in white and orange stand nearby, with a dust cloud rising from the digging.2016-09-11A photograph of an outdoor ritual at a stone mortar. A young man with long dark hair and bare chest, wearing an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, grips a tall wooden pestle and presses it into a stone mortar on the sandy ground. Around him, several onlookers stand: a man in a white kurta and dark-rimmed glasses with a black rudraksha-style necklace holds a metal plate, a bald man in a grey t-shirt and trousers watches, a woman with short red hair wears a white wrap, and another man in white stands in the background. An older bare-chested man with white moustache wears a white dhoti at right. Scattered white cloth scraps, leaves and a small bowl lie on the ground near shrubs and trees, with a few stones and a red plastic chair behind.2004-12-31Outdoor photograph beneath a large spreading banyan tree with dense green leaves overhead. A tall man with long, swept-back dark hair wears saffron-orange robes draped over one shoulder and holds a silver-topped walking stick; he has a distinctive appearance with long hair and saffron clothing, so this is a probable Swamiji in person, looking toward the left. To the left, an older man in white kurta and white dhoti with an orange shawl stands barefoot near a circular raised platform covered in red flower offerings and a black-and-white garlanded shrine. Behind them a younger man in white with an orange shawl and a lanyard stands near the offerings. Dry earth ground, a black garlanded object and metal pole stand behind the platform. Three people are visible.2006-10-07April 01 20082008-04-01
