April 09 20122012-04-09A smiling young performer in an orange cloth draped over the shoulders stands before a bamboo fence, dressed as a deity figure with a dark topknot wrapped in red, white and orange flowers and a wig of long black hair. The performer wears layered garlands of white, red and green flowers over the chest, orange and white flower bracelets, a small oval pendant on a black cord, and a white marking on the forehead. In one hand is a red and gold lute-like instrument with a long neck, and the raised other hand holds a small dark wooden object. The photo is a studio-style portrait of a costumed child, not a ritual scene with others present.2012-04-09April 09 20122012-04-09May 17 20112011-05-17July 15 20122012-07-15A man walks along a paved colonnaded walkway, smiling with eyes lowered. He wears an ornate maroon and gold embroidered turban with a peacock-eye ornament, a red tilak on his forehead, and long dark hair falling behind. His saffron-orange garment is draped over one shoulder with a deep red patterned sash, and he wears a long beaded rudraksha-style mala with a large round pendant, gold-toned armlets and bangles. A carved wooden figure is partly visible at the right edge. A green tree and red pillars are in the background.2011-10-24May 17 20132013-05-17A man with long dark hair and a vertical sandalwood-style mark on his forehead stands barefoot, leaning his forehead and body against the trunk of a large banyan tree with aerial roots. He wears a flowing yellow draped garment with ruffled gold-trimmed edges and a long necklace of gold-coloured beads, eyes closed in stillness. Dusty ground, stone blocks and a grey pole sit in the background under dappled sunlight.2010-12-23A standing figure on a raised platform wears saffron-orange robes, a long rudraksha mala across the chest, and a thick white and orange floral garland with pink, green and blue ribbons, ending in red flowers. Long dark hair falls past the shoulders, with a red bindi on the forehead. The figure smiles, barefoot on an orange cushion. Behind, a woman in a cream sari with a red bindi, a man in white with a sacred thread, and a man in orange robes holding a staff sit on a white-draped seat under a white canopy. The setting is a dry open field.2006-12-25December 22 20132013-12-22December 29 20082008-12-29December 02 20172017-12-02
