November 12 20102010-11-12A small indoor room with pale blue walls and a barred window hosts a puja. Three people in white clothes sit on the floor before a low wooden table. A woman in a white sari with a red border pours liquid from a brass vessel, while a younger woman with a long braid holds a small white bowl and a third person sits at the left edge. Behind the table, a framed printed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" shows a figure in orange robes and rudraksha mala seated before a tree, garlanded with marigolds and flowers, beside an oil lamp. A red draped cloth hangs behind it. On the table sits a golden meru shaped ritual object, with brass pots, a kalasha, plates and bowls of offerings on a cloth. Another framed photo with flowers appears at the right. The scene reflects Meru puja or homa ritual activity.Seated devotees perform a puja with hands pressed in anjali before a large gold tray of offerings, including silver bowls with fruit, apples, pink flowers, shredded white vegetables and gold-wrapped sweets. In the centre, a shaved-headed man in white dhoti and shawl with a gold necklace and a red tilak presses his palms together with eyes closed. Beside him, a man in white with a dark rudraksha mala and a woman in a green blouse and white sari, also with hands folded, join the prayer. Several women in white and yellow-bordered saris sit nearby, and a microphone stand is visible at the upper right.
