A photograph inside a stone-pillared hall showing a priest in orange cloth holding a bell and a flaming lamp over two banana-leaf plates of food. A seated figure in orange robes with folded hands and a yellow-and-orange garland sits on the floor before one leaf, while a bare-chested older man with a flower garland and white forehead marks sits on a striped mat before the other. A second man in a yellow dhoti stands behind with a vessel, and a brass lamp, water bottles, a steel plate of petals and a fan appear nearby. No identity is asserted for the seated figures.2009-01-01 +1 copiesOctober 15 20082008-10-15October 15 20082008-10-15Annadhan in 20082009-01-01 +1 copiesA photograph inside a pillared hall with a dark stone floor and a green-painted wall. A bare-chested elderly man in an orange dhoti stands at left, pouring or pressing a ritual sprinkle over the head of a younger man seated on a green banana leaf in orange robes wearing a yellow and pink flower garland. To the right, another elderly seated man in orange with a flower garland and white tilak sits on a folded mat with a cushion. The man on the right is bare-chested with an orange cloth wrapped around his lower body, white forehead markings with a red dot, and holds a piece of flatbread while eating. Plates hold rice, curries, fried snacks and sweets. Two pedestal fans stand behind them beside a wooden door.2009-01-01 +1 copiesAnnadhan in 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesA long open hall with a thatched roof where rows of saffron-robed sadhus sit cross-legged on the floor before banana leaf plates heaped with rice, sweets and offerings. A standing figure in an orange dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha-style bead necklace and a lit flame in hand, moves down the row performing aarti before the seated men. Many seated sadhus wear orange and saffron cloth, orange turbans and pink flower adornments, with white and grey beards and vibhuti marks. Paper cups of water sit beside each leaf, and a tall painted banner behind reads Sree Nithyananda Namaha. Scattered petals lie on the floor. Roughly twenty-five to thirty people are visible in the scene.2011-01-16Annadhan in 20122012-01-01 +2 copiesThree shaven-headed men in saffron-orange robes sit cross-legged on a mat in prayer posture, palms pressed together at chest, eyes closed. Each wears a rudraksha mala and a saffron shawl, and the central man wears glasses and a watch; all have white and ash-colored tripundra marks on their foreheads. Banana leaves in front hold rice, papadam-like wafers and sweets, with paper cups nearby. Behind them a few other robed men sit with hands folded, and to the right a framed portrait sits among red and yellow flower garlands on a red-draped table. Two small framed photographs stand beside the table.2013-11-14
